THE POWDERGUIDE SEASON 2025/2026

The 2025/26 Alpine winter didn’t exactly make things easy for us: little snow, a persistent weak layer and significantly fewer powder days than we would have liked. But PowderGuide didn’t stand still. Behind the scenes, we were tinkering, writing, testing, discussing and refining, while our community was anything but in hibernation.

Our Season Report shows what came out of it: from the new PG Map and 231 magazine articles to plenty of ConditionsReports and a community that now reaches far beyond the German-speaking world. You’ll also find key numbers, highlights, behind-the-scenes insights and a glimpse of where PowderGuide is headed next.

THE 2025/2026 SEASON IN NUMBERS

The numbers speak for themselves: a lot has happened at PowderGuide this season! Between October and May, PowderGuide recorded 1.74 million page views, up 75% from the previous year, while unique visitors increased by 80% to more than 1.09 million. In January alone, the site recorded nearly 420,000 page views.

Just as important are the updates coming straight from the mountains: by mid-May, the community had published more than 360 ProReports and 125 MiniReports. Given the challenging conditions this season, these up-to-date observations and assessments were particularly valuable.

Powder draws people in, but so do stories

“Three weeks, one Interrail ticket” reached over 260,000 views and, aside from the PowderAlarms, became the most-shared post of the season.
