And even where there are three, the snow quality is modest. Much worse: nothing can be heard from the south except a disturbance in the Force, "as if a million skiers looked to the mountains and sighed". But now enough bad news from the Death Star, but climate change makes you realize what three stars used to mean. All skiable, no rocks. That would be a dream come true this year. But apparently Ullr has taken care of our suffering and at least wants to get back to average, because it's dumping again in the west and south and maybe we can take a step towards the old normality.
Alert period and areas
The alert extends in the west from the Maritime Alps in France to the Lower Valais and in the south from Ticino to the border triangle IT/AT/SLO with cores from eastern Ticino via the Upper Engadine to the Adamello and in the border triangle.
The alert goes off until Wednesday morning.
Wind
Sometimes more, sometimes less stormy. Stronger in the south-east and in France than in the west of the Southern Alps. Foehn storm in the north. It pushes up to the main ridge, but most of it comes in accumulations.
