Frauen im Bergsport

Freeride pros Eva Walkner, Aline Bock and Jackie Paaso are launching an avalanche safety project for women together with ski guide Geli Kaufmann. The SAFE AS courses, which have been successfully training women in the USA since 2012, serve as a model. The first SAFE ON SNOW dates will take place in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in the fall.

A fundamental gender injustice that no women's rights movement has been able to change in the slightest is the fact that women have a harder time urinating in the open air for anatomical reasons. Woe betide those who wear dungarees, strap their avalanche transceivers over their suspenders and pull two layers of fleece over them.

To all gentlemen of creation – dress warmly! With the brand new freeski film "AS WE ARE – A GIRLS SKI MOVIE", six strong freeski girls are shaking up the previously testosterone-dominated freeride circus and leaving an impression?

Every year, new freeride films are released that present breathtaking action on the best faces in the world. But what is often missing in these films, or at least very briefly, are the parts of female actors. In view of what is currently going on in the women's freeride sector, it is nice to see that the ladies are taking their fate into their own hands and actively presenting themselves.
