It's that time of year again: the mountains are covered in snow, you slowly need a sweater and jacket in the valley again, the season and group ski passes justify the latest price increases, the first turns on the glaciers, PowderGuide starts the season. We're not quite in regular operation yet, but are gliding step by step towards winter as usual. -

SpotCheck | Freeriding in St.Luc/ Chandolin
02/18/2021 • Christiane Eggert
If you enter Chandolin into the search engine, the first thing that shows up is the annual First-Track Freeride Contest. The Liaison, a ridge that separates the two ski resorts of St. Luc and Chandolin, plays the leading role on all other pages. Spectacular couloirs are lined up side by side and the best thing for lazy skiers: they can be reached from the exit of the Col-des-Ombrintzes T-bar lift with almost no ascent. Let's take a closer look! -

Event tip | Freeride Nights
12/08/2020 • PowderGuide
The Freeride Nights in Innsbruck have become a popular monthly fixture for the Tyrolean freeride community in recent years. People meet up for a beer (or two or three), see the usual suspects, watch a few videos together and chat about the latest powder days. As this is unfortunately not possible as usual at the moment, the Freeride Nights are now virtual! Positive aspect: You don't have to be in Innsbruck to take part! -

Videos of the Week #3 2020/21 | On Quality and Quantity
12/04/2020 • Sebastian MüllerIn fact, even the best pictures from the deepest bluebird day eventually wear out. In the long run, it takes more than action, upbeat music and slogans. Maybe it's art and maybe it's called cinematography if you don't just like ski films because of their performance data. Personal reference and preferences and soul connection (!) are added on top! -

Gear Review | Mammut Light Short Removable Airbag 3.0 Backpack 28L
12/01/2020 • Benjamin EggertThe Mammut Light Short Removable Airbag 3.0 backpack is the ideal companion for ski touring and freeriding. There is more than enough storage space for one-day ski tours and it is also suitable for multi-day ski tours. For a quick run, the backpack can be compressed using the side straps and is easy on the back muscles thanks to its very low weight. So there's no excuse to leave your avalanche backpack at home! -
