Gear reviews | G3 SENDr
01/12/2018 • Steffen KruseThe SENDr came to me unexpectedly, but at exactly the right time. My old ski still works, but its best days are over and the ravages of the mountains have taken their toll on it. So I'm more than happy to have the opportunity to test this new gliding device. -

Gear reviews | G3 ION 12
03/18/2016 • Lukas Zögernitz
The ION 12 pin binding from Genuine Guide Gear (G3) follows the trend of freeride-oriented tech bindings: Puristic in its approach, but equipped with some clever details, the successor to the Onyx offers ascent-oriented freeriders another option when choosing a binding. We tested the strengths and weaknesses of the ION 12 in a long-term gear review. -

ISPO Partner News 2013 - Part I
02/12/2013 • Totti Lingotti
As every year, we present the PG Partner news from Ispo 2013. Slowly, everyone involved has recovered from the after-effects of Ispo 2013. Some suffered from the well-known post-Ispo flu (mostly caused by an overload of the "I want to have" center in the freerider brain) and others had thick thighs because there was so much Canadian-light powder snow to track after the majority of potential trackers preferred to stay in the post-Ispo flu-infected exhibition halls in Munich. We take advantage of the calmed waters and present the new products from the PG partner forges. -

Ski test G3 – Manhattan
03/09/2012 • Hanna Finkel
The Manhattan is the second widest freeride ski in the 2012 product range of the Canadian mountain sports brand G3 (Genuine Guide Gear) after the Highball, with a perfectly tuned 108 millimeters under the binding. Despite its considerable dimensions, the Manhattan turns out to be a great touring freerider with good running characteristics and even better downhill performance. -

Ski touring skins comparison test 2011
04/04/2011 • German WehingerEven if freeriders often pay little attention to ski touring skins, you should always keep the chapter on care in mind. Ski touring skins constantly rub against the snow and lose their waterproofing through friction and contact with the snow. Natural hair is more affected by this than synthetic products. If the climbing or gliding properties deteriorate, you should consult the manufacturer's care instructions. A block of impregnating wax to renew the protective layer is available in any outdoor store for just a few dollars. Especially with skins that have already absorbed moisture and are used in cold snow, there is a risk that lumps of snow will collect on them – the skins tend to "stollen".
