Freeride tour of the week | From the Schilthorn through the Soustal to Isenfluh
03/10/2013 • Roger FischerThe insider tip par excellence for a long freeride descent over 1800 vertical meters, ideal in March as a final descent after a great freeride day on the Schilthorn. Every time, you will be amazed at how little snow there is and how powdery the snow still is here on the steep north-facing slopes in spring. And this even after three-week dry spells. The wild Sous Valley also has a lot to offer in terms of scenery. Below you will find the tour description in the form of an excerpt from the new book "Freeride Guide Jungfrau Region" published this winter -

The beginnings of alpine ski racing
12/04/2010 • Hanna Finkel"Nobody really lives until they have been on skis", as Andrew Irvine, a young ski racer and founding member of the Kandahar Ski Club, already knew. Hanna Finkel took a small group and the thick poles to the Schilthorn to check out the freeride suitability of this small but beautiful ski resort. -

The 66th Inferno Race Mürren
01/30/2009 • Stefan HunzikerOver 1800 starters had registered for the superlative Inferno race from the Mürren Schilthorn, which took place from January 21 to 24, 2009. However, the weather did not allow the downhill race to be held on the original course. The organizers hoped for a long time that the conditions would change for the better and that they would once again be able to start below the Schilthorn and ski down to Lauterbrunnen.
