Midnight-Powder | Zach's Norway Adventure, Part V
06/18/2013 • Zach Paley
I came down from the mountains after my first session camping to refuel and meet an old friend in Lyngseidet. CH is currently dealing with some malpractice legalities and would prefer not to be named. Like I discovered earlier, Sweden is a weird place. We packed the car and headed for the southwest end of the peninsula: the one area I hadn't gotten to ski much in Lyngen. -

05/25/2013 • Zach Paley
Full-time skier Zach Paley, known to many PG readers from Patrick Fux's Japan reports in recent years, spent the spring of 2013 in Norway. As a ski bum, he signed on to a ski touring boat, among other things, and roamed the powder and firn in many places in Scandinavia: from Tromso to the Lyngen Alps to Riksgransen. -

April powder down to the fjord | Norway Part II
04/29/2013 • Totti LingottiWe move on to the Strandafjellet ski resort, which is now one of the most popular freeride resorts in Scandinavia. April powder down to the fjord | Norway Part I
04/25/2013 • Totti LingottiNorway has long ceased to be an insider tip - at least for spring ski tours. Central Europeans have been traveling to the north for years. These trips are usually so late in the winter that the first flowers are already blooming in the Alps. If you venture north a little earlier, you can still fully enjoy the freeride potential of the mountains there. -

The Dude in Norway | Last stop on this year's BigLePowSki tour
04/19/2012 • Totti LingottiFor the first time, the BigLePowSki tour made a stop in Scandinavia from April 13 to 15, 2012. The Dude also had the right nose for this fourth and final event of the winter in Sogndal (Norway), as the temperatures dropped to wintry degrees again just in time and it snowed the finest powder snow that you wouldn't expect even in Norway in April. The BigLePowSki-Happening is organized by Black Diamond and Arc?teryx and is supported by Fritschi, FreerideMap, Pieps and Polartec. -

North Vader | Snowboard tours in the Lyngen Alps
01/03/2012 • Helvetic BackcountryOur adventures in the mountains actually start at Zurich main station. A train journey takes us to a mountain village, an ascent to a mountain peak. Weightless turns in the powder make beads of sweat disappear. A day out snowboarding with friends. That's what we love.
