Every year, the Splitboard Festival and Testival takes place on the Tyrolean fjord, halfway between Munich and Innsbruck, in the cold hole of the northern Alps, in the snow-rich Karwendel, more precisely in Pertisau at Lake Achensee. Splitboard enthusiasts come together - whether they are experienced splitboarders, beginners or newcomers. Old-school hands who still saw their boards by hand and manufacturers and providers of splitboard tours and camps are also present. This year for the 10th time - congratulations on the anniversary edition. I want to check it out, it's a first for me.

Toni and I (Klara) are visiting Sport Conrad with the mission of getting advice on ski boots. We want to pass on to you, what to look out for when making a purchase. Most people are probably familiar with Sport Conrad as an online ski retailer, but it originated as a family business over 128 years ago from a specialised cobbler's shop.

The program of the second Splitboard Festival in Lenggries was impressive. In addition to numerous splitboarders, the who's who of splitboard manufacturers were represented with test material: Burton, Jones, K2, Arbor, Karakoram, Dupraz, Amplid, Spark, Rome, Goodboards. From the manufacturers of emergency equipment, Ortovox and BCA presented themselves on the large test area. All 80 splitboarders who had traveled to the event got their hands on a splitboard or two from the over 100-strong splitboard test range.
