Videos of the Week #11 2025/26 | Without a Pedal

By bike and trailer in the depths of winter from Terrace, BC, through snow and past logging trucks all the way to Alaska

01/02/2026
Hannes Hemper
Survived Christmas, said hello to the whole family in love and stress - or hid somewhere in the snow or on the beach? I'm using this space this week to draw attention to a website: the Freeski Museum. Eric Iberg has been working for years on creating a platform that brings together all ski films, all ski pro models, all podcasts, etc. It's finally online and still a long way from being finished - but wow, so cool. Thanks for that.

Video 1: WITHOUT A PEDAL - A bike movie about snowboarding

After their hit film Without a Paddle, in which the two snowboarders Johan and Nick were out and about in a canoe, a sequel now follows. From Terrace, BC, a small town in northern Canada, they have come up with the crazy idea of riding their bikes and trailers to Haines, Alaska: 1350 km through snow and past logging trucks. Will anything go wrong? Yes, a lot - but very entertaining. Worm is also along for the ride and actually takes an electric piano with him. That explains half of their trip. A lot of head shaking and laughter on my part, but it definitely awakens the spirit of adventure.

Riders: Nick Khattar, Johan Rosen, Garrett Warnick, Colin D. Watt, Jamie Lynn, Seb Grondin, Steve Kroschel, Justin Hostynek, Andrew Hardingham, Kitty (the grizzly bear), Jonas Quinn

Video 2: DIVINE COUNCIL | WELLS BROTHERS

Art. What happens when you get five creative ski heads together in Japan. This one has stylish tricks, black and white theme, crisp sound design, wonderwells I just say: enter the devine council of style.

Rider: Jackson Wells, Quinn Wolferman, Beau-James Wells, Kai Mahler & Jossi Wells, Edited by: Beau-James Wells

Video 3: KIMBO CHRISTMAS 2025

It's the fourth year of the Christmas Kimbo edition at Dundret. Stylish night park ride with self-produced music. Mama, what would we do without Kimbo? Thank you, Kimbo.

Riders: Kim Boberg, Oliver Karlberg, Hugo Burvall, Benjamin Carlund, Remco Kayser, Eirik Moberg, Vilmer Ivarsson, Joel Magnusson, Frans Nederberg, Rasmus Persson

Video 4: Minigolf - A Short Ski Movie By Maé Biedermann

A love of minigolf means in ski slang: not alpine, not in the trees, but short faces with smaller but cool features. It's about fun skiing and not being afraid of death. Love for mini golf. A nice movie by Mae, the Swiss freestyler, with short appearances by Remco - lots of style.

Rider: Mae Biedermann and Remco Kayser

Video 5: THE JETSKIS MOVIE

It's been four or five years since the team released a real staple of the street ski scene with Zootspace. Now they've done it again: spot selection, tricks, music - everything is spot on. A tribute to the street ski scene and ski culture.

Video 6: HALLDOR HELLGASON'S FULL BEHIND THE SCENES - Sponsor Me Tape

Halldor is snowboarding. Some may be doing spins over 2100 by now, but Halldor brings more fun, more chaos, more style. He is an icon of the sport, and the video makes you want to go snowboarding. As always with Halldor, there's a good soundtrack with punk and rock, plus pure chaos. Soak up the energy and take it out into the snow!

Rider: Halldor Hellgason

Video 7: KAYSERI CLUB | Full Film | HEAD Freeskiing

Where is Kayseri? In Turkey - and apparently you can ski there. Emil Granbom and three friends from Sweden embarked on this adventure last season and documented it. Cool lines, culture - check it out for yourself! When a member of The Bunch is there, it's always worth it - no matter where.

Riders: Jakob Eriksson, Måns Fors Källstrand, Emil Granbom

Video 8: MAYPRIL - Film by Koga Hoshino

Man, I had to look twice. At first I thought it was Candide riding in La Clusaz. Koga traveled from Japan to Europe to visit all the famous spots that have shaped our sport in one winter. He traveled to France with La Clusaz, the Nordkette in Innsbruck and Riksgränsen in Sweden. He also got to know European ice, but made the best of it and still skied incredibly. Hats off to him.

Rider: Koga Hoshino

Video 9: Brap Ski 5 - 4K - Official

Sled Skiing aka Brap Ski! Karl Fostvedt's Brainchild enters its fifth round and is one of his best works. Not because it has the best spots or the most elaborate camera work as in the other parts, but because much more is told behind the scenes if you look closely. Every few minutes, a text pops up for a few seconds, which you have to pause on your computer to read. In it, he explains what really happened in the respective situation. A cool idea, because you can watch the movie in two ways: as pure action with tricks and line and line - or as a documentary version with pauses and reading.

Rider: Karl Fostvedt

Video 10: HOTLAPS | WET PAINT ft. Edouard Therriault

Andrew Gaida, aka Hotlaps, is known for his super clean and aesthetic followcam edits from the park. Now he ventures into new territory and accompanies Edouard Therriault through the streets of Québec. What cool shots were created.

Rider: Edouard Therriault

Video 11: Resonance - Skiing Poetry in Motion by Konsti Ottner | 4K

Konsti has been living in Innsbruck for years and has released another new film. This time he accompanies us through Japan and Norway, with a focus on the artistic side: sounds, an artistic cut and a harmony between observer, mountain and rider.

Video 12: NEVERENDER by Wiley Miller

Wiley is a legend in skiing. Many of the current pros like Karl already had him as a role model - and yet he is still skiing, just like Mark Abma or Tanner Hall. And how! Giray Dadali, engineer at J Skis, often accompanies him, as does Isaac Freeland, who won the FWT in 2019 and now skis for Dynafit. And Isaac actually manages to make Dynafit look stylish. What a crew.

Contest of the week: SLVSH || Mac Forehand vs. Hunter Henderson at Mammoth Red Bull Camp

Mac doing Mac things. For the future, a game between him and Matěj Švancer. If you want to see where park skiing currently stands, check out this battle.
