Videos of the Week #2 2025/26 | Rhythms of Winter

From stylish park edits to tours through Alaska

10/31/2025
Hannes Hemper
This week's highlights: Max Palm's new short film, which impresses with its versatility and cinematic style. The K2 team trip to Japan takes us to endless powder slopes and stylish park moments. And the Five Blind Mice venture into the absolute wilderness while snow camping in Alaska - six days, two tents, pure thirst for adventure. Finally, the recap of the Jossi Wells Invitational is also out and brings the incomparable spirit of the park directly to the screens

Video 1: JOSSI WELLS INVITATIONAL | 2025 by Brady Parron and Andrew Gayda aka Hotlaps

Jossi Wells, the Zero Spin King and now father, hosts the Jossi Wells Invitational in Cardrona every year, where the ski world meets in the southern hemisphere. Henrik Harlaut is finally back in the park after a long injury layoff - and with Andrew's Followcam, park riding here looks like a video game. You just can't get enough of it!

Riders: Tom Wallisch, Henrik Harlaut, Alex Hall, Jackson Wells, Quinn Wolferman, Beau-James Wells, Luca Harrington, Fin Melville Ives, Evan McEachran & Jossi Wells

Video 2: Third Party by CHEF

A crew of over 20 skiers who simply love filming, shredding and having fun. Their home mountain is Grouse, right next to Vancouver.
Two years ago they produced their first full-length film - now a new short film project follows, consisting of several parts with smaller groups.

The two ender segments with Adam Kuch (the little brother of Sam Kuch) and Alec Henderson (SLVSH Cup Winner) have it all: butters, technical features and massive jumps in the backcountry.
The fun the guys have - and how they simply share the clips - is infectious and makes for pure stoke.

Riders: Alex Thucydides, Jarl Whist, Chase Ujejski, Steven Kahnert, Anders Ujejski, Will Penrose, Aidan Mani, Stephen Lindsay-Ross, Adam Kuch, Floyd Guy, Alec Henderson

Video 3: RIKKA by K2 Ski

One of the best Japan segments I've seen in a long time.
Joona Kangas and Addison are two of the most stylish riders in their niche in my eyes.
Enjoy the composition of music, language and film - perfectly coordinated and with a flow that sticks with you.

Riders: Colby Stevenson, Addison Rafford, Joona Kangas, Zoe Blewett, Masaori Fujii

Video 4: TORDRILLO - An Alaskan Ski Film

I didn't know any of the riders before this, but they deliver with strong storytelling, impressive tours and real snow camping in Alaska - a hardcore skier's dream.

Five friends, calling themselves the Five Blind Mice, set out to explore a less-traveled corner of Alaska - the Tordrillo Mountain Range. With only a rough zone on the map, a hopeful weather window and a confident pilot, they set off on their adventure - the plane packed with enough food to feed a small village.

What followed were six days of breathtaking scenery, stable snowpack and incredible skiing.
A movie that makes you want to go on an adventure.

Riders: Jake Klonsky, Lane Aasen, Manny Pacheco, Ritvik Mishra & Thomas Kakatsakis

Video 5: 15 Days Across the Alaska Range by Lane Aasen

No peaks, no couloirs, no cliffs - just a beautiful mountain range and two friends.
The first video I've seen of Lane convinces with honest emotion and a real spirit of adventure.

Nate and Lane wanted to ski the northwest ridge of Sultana, but had to change their plans due to avalanche danger. Instead of turning around, they crossed the north side of the Alaska Range below the mighty walls of Sultana and Denali. 15 days on the road, two nights in a tent - pure wilderness, real stamina.

Rider: Lane Aasen & Nate

Video 6: Old Dog New Tricks - Mark McMorris

Mark, aka Sparky, has dominated the sport for over ten years. At 31, he calls himself "Old Dog", but on the snowboard he's nowhere near behind the younger guys.
The video shows how much work he puts into his riding and how strong his mindset is.
Backside 1800 and Bro-Mance with Zeb Powell in Saas Fee - the two should definitely film together more often.

Rider: Mark McMorris & Zeb Powell

Video 7: Giro in Hakuba: One of Japan's Deepest Winters

A short film with Quinn - I just had to watch it. Last season almost every team was in Japan, because the winter was one of the best in a long time.
Here's the Giro team on the road - skiing and snowboarding.
Enjoy face shots, cinematic footage and keep dreaming of the Japan trip.

Riders: Quinn Wolferman, Maggie Voisin, Spencer O'Brien, Sean Miskiman, and Bryan Fox

Video 8: GLÖMSKA 2 - MAX PALM

Like part 1, filmed again by Felix Raffaeli - a dream duo. Max has long been a legend in the sport.
In his short film series, he shows other sides of his big mountain style: open jacket, Armada skis, street, resort laps, Dub 10 and Palmito.
I had to watch it twice in a row.

Rider: Max Palm

Video 9: SUGAR BOWL (Full Film) | Faction Skis

An old-time park edit. The crème de la crème of the park scene, all in the Faction team, show their tricks on the same features.
My favorite: Tormod in full Michael Deschneux style.

Riders: Matej Svancer, Alex Hall, Kadi Gomis, Tormod Frostad, Mac Forehand, Elias Syrjä, Stepan "Speedy" Hudecek
