Northwest traffic jam! A truly beautiful word. Sounds about as round as it brings lots of snow to Austria. If you suffer with the author and don't get any snow, at least you have some fresh Videos of the Week. We ramble from the white rush of 1931 to this week's powder turns from Baker. Social media hasn't brought us any useful news for the Alps yet, but that will probably change next week.
DEEP IN BAFFIN
The French are often the more likeable skiers. A group of nice (despite being male) French people went to Baffin Island and experienced nature in its original form.

FAST FORWARD - Kevin Rolland / Julien Regnier
Latest viral marketing clip from La Plagne featuring the freestyle stars from the land of baguettes. For those who are less connected to social media.
LATE - Official Film
Spring ski tours in Scotland with very little snow, but still a nice trip and mini-adventure inspiration for the average couch potato.

Langtang Trailer - Summits of My Life
Something different: Kilian Journet is currently the most famous mountain runner and was in Nepal last year during the big earthquake. This is just a trailer and the movie is not finished yet, but it seems to be a very supportive and commendable project.

The White Rush (1931)
One of the classic ski films of all time. If you haven't seen it yet or haven't seen it for a long time, you can watch it here in decent quality at Inspired Media. To be on the safe side and because the website is a bit lame, I would recommend a download. Don't let this piece of skiing history get lost! You can find instructions for your browser as an add-on via your search engine of choice. To the movie
