Ski tour: Kleiner Kaserer 3093m (Höllscharte) - Brenner region, Schmirn, 1600m, difficult
(Tour date 05.01.2023 - LWL 1 to 2). The ski tour to the Kleiner Kaserer, or Höllscharte, starts in the Schmirntal valley to the right and back into the Weitlahnertal valley. The ski tour should only be undertaken in safe conditions and is a good 1600 metres (to Höllscharte a good 1500 metres). There are two steeper steps to overcome, the last of which is a wide gully just before the saddle. In good conditions, the summit is exposed but relatively easy to reach, but in unsuitable conditions it is hard or very difficult, in which case the Höllscharte, which is also the transition to the Hintertux ski area, is the tour destination.
