In 2019, I moved from the flatlands of central Germany to Austria to be closer to the mountains and to complete my master’s degree in “Alpine Natural Hazards / Torrent and Avalanche Control.” In 2024, I moved on to Davos, Switzerland. There, I now work for the mountain railways and spend almost every free minute of my time outdoors in the mountains: skiing in the winter, and climbing or mountain biking in the summer. The mountains, the climate, and all the processes behind them never cease to fascinate me—understanding how everything is connected and interacts with one another inspires me anew every time.
