I'm a Bavarian who emigrated to Trieste and work for Powderguide as a meteorologist, developer of the PG-ICON weather and ski video specialist. Val Saisera is my favourite place for ski tours. I like to bake bread, apple strudel and Tortel-Frico.

Filmtrailer 2022/23 | The incomplete overview
10/21/2022 • Sebastian MüllerPlanet Earth keeps on spinning and the freeride scene and its filmmakers keep on making their films! And the protagonists, they also keep on turning and turning and turning! We are pleased to note that all kinds of new films have been created and that individualisation is progressing. Modern motifs are carefully handled by some productions and completely ignored by others, as in the more or less good old days. -

Videos of the Week #21 2021/22 | Towards summer
04/22/2022 • Sebastian MüllerThe days are getting longer and longer, and the snow is getting creamier, slushier, stickier, heavier, slower... Summer is approaching! So let's dream again of social justice, long couloirs and deep storm days with old heroes! And we balance a few wintry highlines towards the end of the episode. -

Videos of the Week #20 2021/22 | Searching for Everything or Nothing
04/15/2022 • Sebastian MüllerI've been searching for "La Liste: Everything or Nothing". After several live screenings, the opus magnum is now available for purchase in many ways. We highly recommend it! And because you always come across a lot of unexpected things when you're looking for something and then discover things you thought were long lost, there are all sorts of other things to accompany the main work! -

Videos of the Week #19 2021/22 | Powder pearls
04/07/2022 • Sebastian MüllerA pearl is a solid, often round foreign body made of mother-of-pearl that grows in certain pearl-forming mussels, or more rarely snails. Powder is... hm... Snow, of considerable depth and little disturbed by external influences. Powder, you want to dive into it, glide through it and emerge again, and so on and so forth, for all eternity, Kaiserschmarrn. And powder pearls? They are moving bodies in mountains of powder. -

Videos of the Week #18 2021/22 | Winter in April
04/01/2022 • Sebastian MüllerWinter is making a comeback and obviously it's not an April pain! Hopefully you'll all be enjoying your well-deserved powder soon, so here's the virtual nightcap for afterwards. Antti Autti brings us the finest arctic lines and there's also the Verbier Extreme to marvel at! The program is rounded off with a podcast and a suitable piece of music. Nauttikaa! -

Videos of the Week #17 2021/22 | Podcasts of the Week!
03/25/2022 • Sebastian MüllerDamn youtube: if even Nikolai Schirmer doesn't deliver anything new, then it's time to open up to other streams. Vimeo is always the brilliant alternative, but let's just switch to pure listening pleasure: podcasts! A neglected medium that should finally be given a regular hearing! -

Videos of the Week #16 2021/22 | Once again great home cinema
03/18/2022 • Sebastian MüllerIn the face of the impending spring, we're turning up the volume again in cinema format! A few French productions finally motivate us to explore the Pyrenees and study the language. Otherwise, we get to know Oscar Mandin, Wiley Miller and Hotdog Hans better and spend the rest of the night in Fieberbrunn. So pop some popcorn and open a beer! We wish you good entertainment! -

Videos of the Week #15 2021/22 | Freeride World Tour Special
03/11/2022 • Sebastian MüllerThe next generation presents the best entertainment, fresh enthusiasm, class and style at the Freeride Qualifier events. The events in Montafon and Nendaz make the big tour look like a kindergarten. The dilemma of subjectivity will always remain, but so will the fun and excitement of playing and dueling together. -

Videos of the Week #14 2021/22 | Steep Wall Skiing Special
03/04/2022 • Sebastian MüllerIf you want to spice up your skiing with difficult to ultimate consequences, head for the steep walls! With a lot of technique and strong brains, the masters of the trade twirl their braids tightly towards the valley. There is a rich history behind it and many legends have immortalized themselves with their descents. For those who want to try out existential battles on skis on the mountain, a place called Chamonix or the steep "Canale" of the Dolomites is generally recommended. -

02/25/2022 • Sebastian MüllerEverything is political, including the VdW. We are hereby making our peace-building contribution through the power of moving images and freeriding. I, for one, wish to ski in Ukraine one day and visit the cool couchsurfers from 2 years ago! Peace. -

Videos of the Week #12 2021/22 | The science of snow and avalanches
02/18/2022 • Sebastian MüllerYou can describe snow and avalanches using physics. In order to understand a snowpack, thermodynamics is required above all, which describes the partial pressures and transformation processes of the crystals. The triggering of an avalanche requires a description of the mechanical properties of the snowpack and fluid dynamics are used for its propagation. However, science can sometimes be quite dry. That's why today we are presenting videos that make the subject matter more digestible.
