Gear of the Week | Capsico Insulated
01/30/2015 • Steffen Kruse
My first impression of the Capsico was along the lines of "what is that"? I now wear these shoes every day, but less for leisure and strolling and much more as a house and access shoe. -

Pischa is still more beautiful | A critical commentary
01/13/2015 • Steffen Kruse"Switzerland, The Original Winter since 1864, 150 years of winter tourism" can be read on the homepage of myswitzerland.ch. Reason enough for the destination Davos & Klosters and its mountain railroads to adopt this "strong" slogan. However, this slogan is interpreted in such a way that the real pioneering work of that time is exploited and the focus is one-sidedly and exclusively on profit interests. -

Ski Short Test | Dynastar Cham 97
01/12/2015 • Steffen KruseI chose the ski because I needed a successor to my old "all-round weapon" and the bigturns/small turns area is already very well covered by my ski family (see picture). So much in advance, the ski is just as much a "bullet" as its siblings are and absolutely fulfills my expectations. -

Gear of the Week | Nirvana XCR Jacket by Mammut
11/16/2014 • Steffen Kruse
The Mammut Nirvana XCR jacket has been with me for 16 years now. I can't remember exactly, but it can't be much shorter than that. I've been on the other side of the globe with this jacket, on many oceans, hung in it on numerous rock faces and of course it has experienced almost all of the countless properties and aggregate states of snow. -

Review | Freeride Guide Davos Klosters
11/12/2014 • Steffen KruseThe new "Freeride Guide Davos Klosters" is a handy and well-structured reference book in German and English for anyone who wants to go freeriding in Davos in the future but is not familiar with the area and/or has little experience in tour preparation and situation assessment. But experienced freeriders will also find plenty of inspiration and great route suggestions in the new Freeride Guide. -

Gear reviews | Arc'teryx Nuclei Jacket
01/09/2014 • Steffen KruseWhen I held the jacket in my hands for the first time, I immediately noticed its extremely low weight. Accordingly, I was initially rather skeptical about the jacket's function. I can say it right away: my concerns were more than disproved in the practical test (approx. four weeks). -
