I learnt to snowboard in 2008 in Todtnauberg in the Black Forest. Many winters on the Feldberg and a trip to the flatlands in the north of Baden-Württemberg for several years without winter sports later, I discovered splitboarding in the Innsbruck area with Corona. I'm much less interested in collecting peaks than the many technical details and DIY projects that are still relevant in splitboarding. I'm always on the lookout for new innovations, whether it's boards, bindings or boots.

As with some other manufacturers, the plus means that more carbon is used. This makes the board stiffer and provides more control at high speeds. However, most splitboard skins—including mine—still use a front bracket and a butterfly clip at the tail. Since Kohla is located close to Innsbruck, I assumed a quick visit would be enough to have my skins adjusted accordingly. Unfortunately, it turned out not to be quite that simple. -
