With test splitboards, avalanche awareness and route selection by the mountain guide as well as the experience of freeride pro Ueli Kestenholz, we offer you everything you need for a successful introduction to the ultimate freedom! The Lötschental with its 3000 metre high mountain station is the ideal starting point for countless tours. The base, the Hotel Petersgrat in Kippel, will spoil you with delicious catering and offers plenty of space for fitting your splitboards! Even if you are already travelling with a splitboard, you can benefit from the camp, get to know the touring potential of the Lötschental and spend a few cool days with like-minded people.
Background
Snowboard pro Ueli Kestenholz has gained experience in the best freeride spots in the world - from Alaska to Japan. With the development of splitboards, he recognised the enormous potential of the Swiss Alps, where untouched slopes can be explored even days after the last snowfall. In 2016, he founded the first splitboard camp together with mountain guide David Henzen to give beginners without touring experience and their own equipment access to this freedom. Thanks to the support of equipment partners, all participants can test high-quality splitboard and safety equipment. The camps are becoming increasingly popular - in addition to curious newcomers, many experienced riders return every year. Over time, the team has grown to include more experienced guides and riders, including Bene, Wirfel, Longi, Pädu and Xoidi. Thanks to the cooperation with snow sports specialist TRAVELZONE, participants benefit from professional booking processing and secure customer deposits. Despite the expansion, the family character of the camps remains the same - small, cosy and with unique experiences in untouched powder.
