Want to add ski photography to your arsenal but don’t know where to start? This clinic is for you. Join us as we photograph a female Arc’teryx athlete while exploring one of the best freeride destinations. You'll learn key elements of ski and snowboard photography, from camera settings to composition and capturing movement. Warning: this clinic might make you want to quit your day job!

Angela Percival has been the lead outdoor photographer at Arc'teryx since 2009. She has documented pioneering expeditions to remote areas, capturing extraordinary moments of human adventure in stunning landscapes. Her photography reflects a deep love of nature and a genuine interest in people. Angela was recognized by National Geographic as one of the top nine female adventure photographers who push boundaries. She loves a challenge and is always chasing the perfect moment, whether it's exciting action shots or quiet reflections.

Equipment

  • Ski pass

  • Ski/ Snowboard

  • Poles

  • Ski boots/ snowboard boots

  • Suitable clothing in which you can spend a day on the mountain (expect sub-zero temperatures): Jacket, pants, midlayer & functional underwear

  • Helmet

  • Gloves

  • Backpack with: Avalanche probe, avalanche transceiver, avalanche shovel (metal), airbag desirable

  • Personal photographic equipment of your choice

  • DSLRs or mirrorless cameras are recommended, but smaller cameras or even advanced iPhone or cell phone cameras are also fine. Please bring memory cards and at least one extra battery.

Skill level

Descent: Safe and controlled skiing on black is required.

Costs

  • 195**€

  • **The ski pass is not included in the price of the clinic and must be purchased through the ski resort. We recommend doing this in advance to avoid queues.
