"The Call" is about those rare moments when everything falls into place. It features the Weger brothers in the Dolomite couloirs and Sam Favret in the Mont Blanc massif.

The wait is over...

Weeks of waiting, days of hard work—and in the end, sometimes only a few seconds matter. That’s what “The Call” is all about—the new film from La Nuit de la Glisse, directed by Thierry Donard and Olivier Sautet. It captures those brief moments when conditions, timing, and mindset finally align.

For powder fans, the steep descents are the highlight. Matthias Weger (ski) and Jakob Weger (snowboard) tackle steep couloirs in the Dolomites, while Sam Favret takes on steep terrain in the Mont Blanc massif. Also featured are big-wave surfer Conor Maguire in Mullaghmore (Ireland), freediver Sanda Delija in Fakarava (French Polynesia), and Malo Guénolé, who is seen foiling along the French Atlantic coast. Archival footage of Garrett McNamara, Matt Annetts, and Davide Carrera rounds out the film. The camera crew embraced the extreme conditions just as much as the athletes did.

La Nuit de la Glisse has been around since 1979. The film nights are a regular gathering for the action sports community, with over 500 screenings at partner theaters in France, Switzerland, Germany, and Austria. In 2026, Canada and Norway will join the lineup for the first time.
