The product test of the new PHASE AR women's functional underwear line from Canadian mountain sports company Arc'teryx was a delightful treat this Christmas. The two ultra-light and technical PHASE AR functional underwear pieces, consisting of a top with a zipped collar and classic long johns, come in a provocative and bright red shade and are made from an elastic polyester blend fabric with integrated UV protection. Using the body mapping principle, a thin Phasic™ SL material has been used in areas of the body that require a lot of movement, such as the armpits, elbows and back of the knees. In contrast, Arc'teryx has used a thicker and warmer Phasic™ AR material in areas that are sensitive to cold, such as the torso, thighs and lower back. This reduces uncomfortable pressure points and increases the thermal regulation of the body temperature. PHASE AR functional materials also have a very soft feel, are equipped with flat seams and have integrated silver ions, which also prevent the development of unpleasant odors and further increase wearer comfort. The Phasic™ AR and SL fibers are very breathable and incredibly quick-drying. The PHASE AR functional underwear from Arc'teryx is therefore ideal for strenuous and sweat-inducing activities in not too cold conditions. As you would expect from Arc'teryx, the cut of the PHASE AR Zip Neck top and PHASE AR Bottom Pant fits perfectly and is tailored to the figure and needs of active ladies. The high stretch content of the fibers in combination with the next-to-skin fit in the garment cut allow additional freedom of movement.
