The 25th edition of the Prowinter trade fair - the central meeting point for manufacturers, retailers and brands in the winter sports and outdoor industry in the European Alpine region - will open its doors in Bolzano from January 11th to 13th, 2026. From clothing and equipment to safety-relevant and sustainable, innovative technologies, there will be plenty of new products and trends to discover. PowderGuide will be there for you to report.

With the 25th edition, Prowinter 2026 is celebrating a special anniversary - and has many new features compared to previous years. As a B2B trade fair for winter sports and outdoor, it brings together manufacturers, brands, specialist retailers and rental companies from the Alpine region and all over Europe. The focus is on sustainability, quality and international exchange. In addition to a larger new hall and a strong presence of international exhibitors, visitors can look forward to several highlights:

Focus on sustainability

Sustainability is at the heart of the anniversary edition. With the Winter Sports Sustainability Network Meeting and the Ski Industry Climate Summit by Atomic (in cooperation with Protect Our Winters Europe and the WSN), Prowinter offers a platform for companies, experts and institutions to discuss sustainable supply chains, climate strategies and the future of winter sports.

Prowinter Award

The Prowinter Award has already been presented in previous years. For 2026, however, it has been given a clear sustainability upgrade. In addition to innovation, technology and design, the assessment of an external sustainability expert will be included for the first time. Awards are presented to outstanding ski and outdoor products in ten categories, with environmental responsibility - from material selection to production standards - being a key criterion. The winners will receive their awards at the opening of the trade fair on January 11th, 2026.

Synergies between winter & outdoor

Climatic changes and new usage habits mean that winter sports and outdoor activities are growing ever closer together. Ski touring, snowshoeing, trail running and mountain sports are increasingly relevant all year round. Prowinter is responding to this development - among other things with its own outdoor hall and the new Scandinavian Village, which focuses on Nordic brands, craftsmanship and sustainable innovations.

Prowinter Test Days in Carezza

The trade fair remains hands-on with the Prowinter Test Days on January 12 and 13, 2026 in the Carezza ski resort. Over 250 product tests will give specialist retailers and industry experts an exclusive look at the new products for the 2026/27 season. The trade fair experience will be complemented by the traditional Prowinter Party on January 11 - networking in a relaxed atmosphere.
