Take your freeride skills to a new level from 1. - 4. February 2024 in St. Anton am Arlberg

by Antonia Paulus 01/24/2024
The Arc'teryx Freeride Academy will take place for the third time in 2024 from 1st to 4th of February in St. Anton am Arlberg and offers a varied programme of courses, workshops, film evenings, parties and other opportunities for exchange to all freeriders. From beginners to experts, everyone is welcome at the Academy, so exciting days in the company of Arc'teryx team riders and other snow sports enthusiasts are just around the corner. We will be there, live with PowderGuide, taking part in various practical training sessions and workshops over the four days and report back to you!

The aim of the four freeride days is clear: to take your freeride knowledge and skills to the next level. The focus is wide-ranging, from technique training to safety skills. The Academy offers various workshops - for both beginners and experts - which include technical training and practical exercises to provide all participants with as much new knowledge as possible. The courses are led and accompanied by qualified guides and Arc'teryx Pro athletes and together with them you can have a good time on tour, in the lift or over an afternoon drink.

Here you can register for the various clinics,  i.e. technical and applied training courses. From splitboard taster tours, avalanche transceiver courses and photography workshops to freeride days by and for women, the clinics offer a daily adventure programme for every taste. The workshops offer a daily adventure programme for every taste. The cost per workshop is between €120 and €150, and the groups are deliberately kept small, with three to ten people. The price includes the daily programme with guide and a goodie bag, but not the lift ticket and equipment. Before booking a course, consider your current fitness level and powder skills and take your skills to the next level with the right clinics.

Powder skiing with telemark skis, bivouac building and survival techniques, freeride film and photography techniques, avalanche awareness and safety and, of course, ski touring, splitboarding and freeride courses are on the course programme: so you're spoilt for choice!

In addition, the Arc'teryx Freeride Village in St. Anton is accessible free of charge so that you can exchange experiences with each other after an eventful day on the mountain, get to know the pro athletes better at a meet & greet, take part in workshops and test the latest Arc'teryx equipment from the Gear Library. The perfect freeride weekend is thus organised: freely selectable offers during the day and the evening programme does not disappoint either with film presentations and parties. It is also possible to take part in the Academy for just one or two days, or just come along for the film night and party at the Arc'teryx Freeridevillage. Click here to register for the film night on Friday and Saturday, and here you can reserve your free ticket for the Bird Party on Saturday. As places are limited, it is advisable to book in advance. Toni (PowderGuide's social media supervisor) will take part in three different clinics and report on social media and here on the website. We look forward to hearing about your experiences and wish all participants a sunny, snowy and, above all, safe time in the freeride mecca of Arlberg.
