I got to know and love the jacket on my Alaska tour last year ;-) It warmed me up in seconds after the ski tours outdoors and also later in the minus 10°C warm motorhome. It would be too warm for me personally for the ascent, even at very low temperatures... . However, since the jacket can be compressed to a mini pack size (for comparison: similar in size to folded skins) and due to its low weight of only 685g (for size L), it definitely has room in your backpack. Thanks to the processing of the best down, windproof and water-repellent outer fabric and an ingenious fit, it has become my favorite winter companion.
The jacket also looks great (in my case blue - or worn inside-out - red)! The simple look is exactly what I really like about the jacket. It has two inside and two outside pockets (the compression bag is integrated in one pocket), a helmet-compatible hood with elasticated drawstring and an extended back section.
