Contour - climbing skins with tradition from Tyrol

The first adhesive skin was introduced to the Austrian market over 50 years ago and Contour has been producing high-quality climbing skins for touring skis at its Innsbruck site for almost 50 years and, with a few decades delay, also for splitboards. From the very beginning, the company has focused on quality and regional production, but has also always embodied a spirit of innovation. Products are constantly being reconsidered and opportunities for improvement sought. For example, the guide line was revised for the upcoming winter and the three new products guide PURE 2.0 guide MIX 2.0 and the guide PURE splitboard skin were developed.

Contour guide MIX 2.0 - versatility and durability

The new guide MIX 2.0 skins combine 65% mohair with 35% nylon and therefore offer a successful balance of durability, friction properties and glide. With a tenth less weight than the previous series, a new and more flexible backing material and lower water absorption, the skins also impress with their smaller pack size and greater robustness. The proven adhesive technology ensures a reliable hold, even after repeated skinning and skinning off. They can also be individually adjusted with the tail strap and are particularly abrasion-resistant - the guide MIX 2.0 skins are also completely PFAS-free.

Contour guide PURE 2.0 - Maximum performance made from 100% mohair

The new contour guide PURE 2.0 skin is aimed at ski tourers who place particular value on outstanding gliding properties. Made from 100% mohair, it offers optimum performance on the mountain and is still a tenth lighter than its predecessor. The improved backing material is more flexible, more water-repellent and ensures an even smaller pack size. The same tail strap as the MIX skin is used for the rear attachment. New is the availability in narrower widths, which also makes the skin attractive for cross-country and backcountry skis.

Contour guide PURE splitboard - Only for splitboarders

The contour guide PURE splitboard skin is available for all fans of touring with splitboards. Made from 100% mohair, it ensures excellent glide and reduces resistance on the ascent. The proven adhesive technology ensures a reliable hold, even after repeated use. An innovative Velcro fastening enables adaptation to different splitboards. The robust material and high-quality workmanship ensure that the skin is durable and works even in demanding conditions.
