We start the 2025/26 season

Sugared up & hooked!

The sight of snow-covered peaks says it all: it’s time to get moving again. The lifts are starting to turn, the first tracks carve across the slopes, and with each passing day, the anticipation for the new season grows stronger.

Even though we rarely had skis or snowboards under our feet this summer, we couldn’t do without the mountains.

The PowderGuide team was out and about: climbing on rocks, cycling on trails, surfing by the sea, flying through the air, planting trees in Canada or in the southern hemisphere, where some of us stayed true to winter.

It's that time of year again: the first ski resorts will soon be opening their doors, the peaks are already covered in snow, and anticipation and motivation increase with every snowfall.

The new winter season is on the horizon and with it everything that makes winter so special. This year, PowderGuide magazine is once again passionately dedicated to a wide range of topics for all snow enthusiasts: from new equipment, detailed weather and avalanche information, exciting tour tips and inspiring interviews to in-depth insights into science, avalanche research and the future of winter sports.

We're back, ready for stories, pictures and experiences that only winter can write.

But "we" is not just us as the editorial team, it's you too! We are starting the new season together to share experiences, impressions and stories with each other.

If you don't want to miss anything and want to stay up to date regularly, take a look at our Instagram channel. Additional content and exciting insights await you there.

And before things really get going, why not tell us what you did in summer - and what you're most looking forward to in winter. Either directly here in the comments or on our social media channels.
