Snow line

First very high in the northwest at almost 2000m in the south lower, at around 1400-1700. Then from Tuesday afternoon very low in the north and northwest at below 1000m and it will stop snowing in the south. Full amounts as powder from 2200m. But in the north there's enough powder topping further down, so it should also be good much lower down. Of course, only as deep as the base was.

The amounts

In the north: Come 30-50cm from the Arlberg to Valais and 50-70cm in the lower Valais to France. Here in the core, there can also be 80 or 90cm in potholes.

In the south: 30-40cm maximum in the west and supposedly 50-80cm in the eastern mini-core. But I'm not convinced, dear models. So rather expect less.

Where should I go?

Tuesday is going to be tight with the powder day, as it doesn't get cold until midday. I don't expect the trees to be high enough anywhere. However, after the snowfall so far, the Valais or France are the obvious choices again. Wednesday could be good in the north and you can look for a combined area, as it will break up in the west in the afternoon.

Thursday will certainly be good on the north side from 1800-2000m, even if it gets warmer. After that it will be very warm and possibly humid, which should make touring a bit difficult.

Mid-term

Unclear, but tending towards a very warm and possibly foehny weekend in the north. It's spring. Take what you can get.
