Voluntary recall: Ortovox LiTRIC
12/12/2022 • PowderGuide
Ortovox is recalling the Litric airbag backpacks. In some cases, the recently introduced electronic airbags have problems with the blower unit. For this reason, Ortovox is voluntarily recalling all Avabag LiTRIC models (Avabag LiTRIC Tour, Avabag LiTRIC Freeride, Avabag LiTRIC Zero) including the zip-ons. -

Short test | LiTRIC System
03/18/2022 • Johannes WolfThe airbag system from Ortovox and Arcteryx, which won the ISPO Award 2022, is one of the new products of the season and is currently the subject of many magazines for good reason. Airbag systems have established themselves in recent years and are now standard equipment for many people. In recent years, it has become apparent that more and more manufacturers are trying to switch from the classic cartridge system to electronic systems. -

Novelties 2022/23 | Safety Equipment
02/21/2022 • Lea HartlISPO, an interesting but also very exhausting trade fair, has been moved from its usual date in January to the autumn. Nevertheless, we endeavour to provide an overview of market innovations at the usual time! As we were unable to scrutinise the material ourselves at ISPO, the information is based on press releases from the manufacturers, not all of which are sent out by any means. So: No guarantee for completeness! -

Gear of the Week | Christmas Special 2021
12/05/2021 • PowderGuideOne thing is clear, Christmas 2021 will once again be characterised by the coronavirus in one form or another. Unfortunately. So even at the beginning of December, many people are still not sure how they will spend Christmas, when they will get out into the snow, how the winter season, and in fact life as a whole, will continue over the next few months. -

Gear Review | Arc'teryx Atom LT Hoody
10/29/2020 • Johannes WolfA few years ago, Arcteryx launched the Atom LT Hoody, a versatile and now tried-and-tested jacket for the transition period. It is not without reason that the model has already been mentioned several times on PowderGuide and put through its paces. I have been able to test whether the current model is still as convincing over the last few months. -

Gear of the Week | Arc'teryx Proton LT Hoodie
02/23/2020 • Totti Lingotti
The Proton LT Hoodie from Arc'teryx has been around since last winter and since then it has been my all-purpose jacket for skiing, ski touring and as a lightweight jacket for the city. Due to its high wind and vapor permeability, it is certainly not designed as a particularly warming layer, but except on very cold days, it can be worn in any weather. The water-repellent layer works surprisingly well during short rain showers or longer snow showers. -

As every year, we report on the most important ISPO highlights from the PowderGuide partners. The second part is about women's one-piece suits, an avalanche backpack from a backpack specialist, extremely light insulation jackets, equally light ski touring bindings and carbon skis and even more safety equipment. Some of the products will be presented as tests early next season. Have fun browsing! -
