Tom Leitner Season-Edit
10/19/2013 • Tobias HuberMost PG readers will be familiar with the name Tom Leitner from his participation in the Freeride World Tour. As one of the first to show freestyle elements in big mountain contests, he is certainly one of those riders who can win a tour stop at any time, as long as he gets his line down cleanly. In addition to contest riding, he also found a little time to film during the past season. -

These trips are usually so late in the winter that the first flowers are already blooming in the Alps. If you venture north a little earlier, you can still fully enjoy the freeride potential of the mountains there. -

Back on Track Freeride Contest: Report
04/17/2013 • Matze KurzthalerThe original premiere date of the Back on Track Freeride Contest could not be held due to bad weather and the avalanche situation at the time. But the new date gave hope for a great weekend... The idea was to get back to basics - in a simple and nature-friendly way, we headed up into the wildest part of the Montafon mountains with skins and snowshoes. A three-day friendly freeride competition: freeriding and chilling out together were on the agenda. PowderGuide event reporter Matze Kurzthaler was there and has plenty to report: -

Kick The Vik Eco Freeride Contest: Report
03/24/2013 • Hanna FinkelThe sixth Kick The Vik Eco Freeride Contest took place in the Oberalp region from March 22 to 24, 2013. Skiers and snowboarders made the pilgrimage to Maighelstal to compete against each other in a big mountain freeride competition and to ski good lines together. The ecological concept is the central element here: the riders ascend under their own steam, neither snowmobiles nor helicopters are used. The riders rate each other's runs and the winner is the one who has received the most votes. -
