Videos of the Week #1 2025/26 | Teaser-Time

New season, old passion - with fresh videos through the magic of winter

10/24/2025
Hannes Hemper
Old Man Winter is awakening - and October marks the start of the ski and snowboard film premiere season. Today we have an overview of what you can expect in the coming weeks: Which releases are coming up, which trailers are already out, and for some projects we only know the name so far. A few releases for new ski models are already online, as well as a fresh gear guide. We also take a quick look back at the season in the southern hemisphere: what happened in New Zealand and South America? It's good to be back - here's to a great start to the winter! There have already been a few highlights: look forward to Zeb, Nikolai and Trygg.

Teaser 1: After the Snowfall (2025) - Matchstick Productions

The iF3 Movie Award nominations are out!

And this film has scooped up five nominations. I'm particularly pleased about Ben Richards as Breakout Skier of the Year - and of course the segment with Craig Murray.

Teaser 2: ORNADA: The Armada Team Movie

Two years - and finally the time has come: Get ready for Armada's first team movie. I'll just say one thing: style.

My Hot Take: Daniel Bacher's segment. He also received a nomination for Breakout Skier of the Year. The film itself is nominated in several categories, including best urban and street ski segment.

I'm particularly looking forward to the team-up of Sammy Carlson and newcomer Toby Rafford in Alaska.

Teaser 3: capeesh - catpiss

The Capeesh team has been innovating the park scene for a few years now, and the guys are real pioneers in their field for a new generation of park riders. Matje, Ferdi, Dani B., Edjoy and Tormod - all in one video - it's simply a pleasure.

Teaser 4: Chris Benchetler - Mountains of the Moon

Chris Bentchetler is back - and with a creative masterpiece! I've already heard from interviews that what he's produced is on a whole other level. Night shots, colors, nominated for best cinematography and best backcountry segment with Chris, D Ran (Dennis Ranataler), Michelle Parker and Sam Kuch.

So far, there's only behind-the-scenes footage on his YouTube channel.

Teaser 5: Simply - inefficient joy _ I Teaser - 2025

Sampo and Laurent are true artists. Their third project with Daniel Looslie - finally! It promises aesthetic shots and plenty of style. The film has been nominated for Best Cinematography and Best Short Film (under 20 minutes).

Teaser 6: Manon Loschi - ENDORPHIN - TEASER

Manon is simply my favorite skier. In her trailer, she shows that she can freeride with style - her Cork 7 looks like something out of a picture book. I'm really looking forward to her project. She's also nominated for Standout Female of the Year.

Teaser 7: Strictly Create - Seeing Flowers

Jonah Williams - need I say more? His segments speak for themselves. In the last Level 1 movie, I had to rewind every ten seconds to watch it again. He's nominated for Best Editing, Storytelling as well as Jury's Pick.

I could go on forever here - the list is long: projects by Weitien How, Joey Kraft & Jonathan Rollins, the new Blanc Collective film, Wells Brothers Divine Council and many more. It's best to check out the full list on iF3 itself:

Teaser 8: ShredBots - The Realm | Official Teaser

Not to forget the snowboard side: There aren't that many trailers here yet, but there is one - SredBot's latest movie with Ståle Brin and Torgeir. These guys have been in the business for a while and just know how to do it. The trailer has a really nice ambience, and the tricks are far.

I don't know much else yet, but Finlay Woods' "The Sound of Japan" is nominated for Film of the Year in the Snowboard category, as well as Best Cinematography and Editing. Finlay has produced a project with Craig Murray - I'm really looking forward to the Kiwi's project.

Burton and Red Bull have produced a team-up film: Paved. Excited to see Ben Furgeson's segment, as he's nominated for Standout Male Rider.

Victor de la Rue teamed up with Alex Heitler in Cold Blood. Nominated in almost all categories - thrills and wow factor guaranteed.

I also know of a segment with Nicolas Mueller - the style god from 10 years ago - and Travis Rice.

Video 9: No one snowboards like Zeb Powell - Gimbal God

Zeb with his 205 cm long board is simply like a cat in the air. Spencer films a day in Saas-Fee at the Red Bull Training Camp in follow-cam style, and we can watch Zeb as he floats and tries out new moves.

Video 10: SINISTER | Stinius Skjotskift

He finally gets his own Pro model. Often under the radar and not in the spotlight of the big productions, Stinius is still one of my favorite riders. Take a look for yourself.

Video 11: MANGO 102 \\\ JAKE MAGEAU

Jake Mangue - Jake doesn't ski, he dances!

Video 11: The nightmare and the dream of skiing in Georga: Chacha Land - Nikolai Schirmer

Nico is back! Lines, storytelling - the full package.

Video 12: PILGRIMAGE - Trygg Lind

Trygg shows us how big mountain riding works in Norway.

Video 13: Fully Torqued - feat. Jonnie Merrill & Jake Hopfinger

Line skis big mountain riders do just that: big lines, lots of speed and high cliffs.

Contest Flashback: Backcountry Invitational NZ and Chile

The Backcountry Invitational has expanded its spectrum from Nendaz to two stops. In New Zealand, Finn Bilus won with a super stylish run in his home territory. Highlight videos and Instagram clips are highly recommended, including from the stop in Chile.

Out of Collective is deeply rooted in the scene - you can see his comments under the latest clips and products. Here's his gear guide.

2026 100 mm Freeride Ski Comparison - SkiEssentials

The guys from Skiessentials have been doing the series for years and are always a good tip to watch - especially before buying skis.

Podcast of the week: Old Head New Head #21 Julien Regnier - Two Planker Network

My favorite series Old Head, New Head is back in Season 2. This week in focus: an Old Head - a skier of the older generation - Julien Regnier in an interview.

He is one of the pioneers of the sport, from moguls to twin tips, was the man with the second pro model ever, co-founder of Armada and now works as a ski engineer for Black Crows. Very exciting to get a look behind the scenes.
