The winter of 2011, which never really got going, at least in the Northern Alps, is over, is history, or rather: simply ticked off.
PowderGuide.com is taking a summer break from May 1 to October 31, 2011.
Despite unquestionably poor snow conditions and miserable conditions in the freeride winter of 2011, PowderGuide.com has once again recorded significant growth. We owe this to you, which is why we would like to thank all new and old users: Thank you very much for your trust, for your many visits, the great contributions, the feedback and the criticism.
We would especially like to thank all the conditions reporters who told us about the few good days last winter and reported for us even when there was really nothing to gloss over. Thank you all so much!

But summer break doesn't mean that nothing will happen here. Various reports from South America as well as travel reports and adventure reports will also be published over the summer.
From late summer or early autumn, you will once again find regular material tips and reports on PowderGuide.
And as soon as the first significant snow falls, you will find out where winter has arrived in the conditions reporter.
So, it's worth checking back regularly even in summer!
