The time has come to really step on the gas. The Oracle is live in alarm number 2 and it's really nice to be able to ride bottomless with face shots on day one of the season. The stone skis stay mothballed and the fat slats are happy - nice!

All your base are belong to us! The internet meme always makes sense in a skiing context and Ullr sends us dump number 2 to the south. Now you can finally swap your stone skis for the good slats and go skiing. By that, however, I still mean relaxed early-season turns and not shooting with the handbrake off.

New winter, new happiness. All aboard the Pow Train! Uh, or something like that. Nice to be back. Now that there's a minimal base from 2000-2200m, which even goes further down in places, you might even be able to ride the upcoming minidump carefully. Ullr is slowly warming up and will be sending some supplies until Wednesday evening to even out the settlement. In the east, however, there could already be quite a lot after this alarm.

The trailer didn't really convince me, but the movie makes it clear right from the start that Winterland will once again be one of the better TGR flicks. Despite the Warren Milleresque title.

There is still hope! There is snow up to 1000m on the north side and April is not yet as bad as 2018, so a dump comes just in time. The countercurrent system is intense and also quite cool for April, but the core is limited to the south except for central Switzerland. Elsewhere, it's only enough for a minor alarm. Unfortunately, there is very little carpet pad to the south - Ticino is at forest fire level 4 and the rest of the Southern Alps also looks rather barren.

Ullr heralds the second round of the late winter retreat battles and this time sends us useful amounts of precipitation. Unfortunately, it no longer has the power to keep it cold throughout and only higher up does the powder survive the warming.

As announced, it will snow several times this week. Now the first dump in the northwest is imminent. And to all those who are wondering why there is only now an alarm: Well, 20cm of snow above 2500m doesn't meet the criteria. Ullr is sending snow from the northwest to the west with strong storm lows and there are always short sunny spells in between. Temperatures go up and down like in westerly weather, but remain more powdery than this weekend.

It's done. After a few small snowfalls over the last few days, none of which exceeded 30 cm, there is now finally some more snow in alarming quantities. Unfortunately only on a very small scale, but the medium term gives hope! Ullr seems to be back from his work abroad in California and is finally making us happy again with fresh snow. Normally we are happy about every alarm, but here the future looks rather sad. Will winter soon end again after the great start? More on this in the medium term. And before that, there will be more snow in the north. Anyone who still wants to take a vacation should seriously think about it.

Ullr has ordered a strange weather situation: Once for all powder and in the southeast also with sharp in terms of volumes. Unfortunately, there isn't cold powder for everyone, as Ullr is busy spreading the low over the whole of the Alps. And since air mass opposites, roughly simplified, are responsible for our lows, there has to be warm air on one side.

Ullr has taken a break after his northern congestion excesses. Now it's getting back to work and bringing snow to the Alps. This alert is the prelude to an interesting week in the western Alps and then later possibly also in the southern Alps, although it is not yet clear how many alerts will result.
