PowderAlert 4 2020 /21 | Powder between the years in the southeast and west
12/27/2020 • Lars OelmannIt's snowing again! Ullr at least tries not to cause us any more frustration this year and gives us a second helping in the south. Treeskiing at last! -

PowderAlert 3 2020/21 | A little Christmas makeup in the north
12/23/2020 • Lars OelmannThere isn't (much) snow in the north yet, it's warm and there are thin layers of snow everywhere. At least Ullr has seen sense and wants to make the whole thing at least visually appealing on the festive days. -

PowderAlert 2 2020/21 | Mr. Ullr? More please!
12/07/2020 • Lars OelmannIt's served. In large parts of the Southern Alps, we are still nibbling on the sumptuous powder menu of the last few days, and Ullr is already preparing dessert! -

PowderAlert 1 2020/21 | Infected by the powder virus?
12/03/2020 • Lars OelmannLife in times of improvisation. One thing in advance to prevent angry protest emails: We as PowderGuide are not trying to persuade you to cuddle up in a group in an infection gondola. For some, however, there is an opportunity to have fun in the snow without dancing with the R-value, which is why we want to make every effort this season to introduce you to the regions with the best snow in the Alert! If you can and are allowed to go, you're in luck! -

PowderAlert 16 2019/20 | Second helpings with obstacles
03/04/2020 • Lars OelmannIt's snowing again in the west and a little in the north too, but that's not quite part of this alert. Or half of it. And it's getting warm too, but not everywhere. As you can see, it's not easy to get Ullr's gifts out to the people this time, because Alert 16 is a little moodier than the great Alerts 14 and 15. -
PowderAlerts
PowderAlert 15 2019/20 | More Powder.
03/01/2020 • Lars OelmannOn the way back to a normal season? After the rather tough course of this winter, some regions, at least in the west, are now on the way to an average season. There is a base and it continues to snow. Ullr is also making a rendezvous in the south-east and there's still plenty of snow above 1800m. -

PowderAlert 14 2019/20 | Winter at last!
02/25/2020 • Lars OelmannAfter November and the current April, Ullr is finally no longer switching back and forth between fall and spring, giving us a real west/northwest blast. Even after that, it looks quite wintry, at least for this winter. The oracle sits in the parking lot and waits for the snow. Up to just under 2000m, almost everything is bare on the south side and on the north side there is just enough in the forest to reach the parking lot. This is not winter. -

PowderAlert 13 2019/20 | The Wild 13: Orkanskiing, again?
02/09/2020 • Lars OelmannThe answer my friend, is blowing in the wind. Bob Dylan's masterpiece "Jim Button and the Wild 13" is a freeride book classic and the hurricane engine of Lukas and Jim is powerfully under steam in this timeless winter 19/20 masterpiece. -
PowderAlerts
PowderAlert 12 2019/20 | North jam without flushing.
02/03/2020 • Lars OelmannLast week, Ullr made a brief appearance from early retirement, only to be washed away again by tropical masses of rain. This week is better, because first of all it's snowing everywhere in the northern congestion, and then it's staying dry so that you can use the snow for longer. -

PowderAlert 11 2019/20 | Finally snow again!
01/27/2020 • Lars Oelmann
Everything back to the start. After a good start, hardly any snow has fallen since Christmas and it feels like we're back in November, but finally Ullr has seen sense and sends us a winter greeting again. Unfortunately, he has to get back into the groove and it won't last, but more on that in the alert. -

PowderAlert 10 2019/20 | Ho Ho Holy shit! It's snowing in the north and west!
12/21/2019 • Lars Oelmann
Ullr seems to have taken pity on the sad locals and holidaymakers on the northern side of the Alps and let it snow there too. Unfortunately, this is just a drop in the ocean for the areas that have been hit the hardest. From central Switzerland eastwards, the sharks will be able to swim again and grab some tasty p-tex, but the alarm won't be enough for real freeriding. -

PowderAlert 9 2019/20 | The Rise of Deepwalker
12/19/2019 • Lars Oelmann
Now that Star Wars is finally (really?!) coming to an end and Skywalker's heirs are beginning their final space ride, an exciting pre-Christmas week is about to begin. Ullr has had enough of far too high temperatures and in the coming südstau there is at least the chance of good snow again in the western Southern Alps. And that's just the beginning. May the force be with us!
