TouringTip | Urtirolaspitz - Piz Terza (2908m)
04/04/2022 • Steffen Kruse
I hadn't actually planned to go to this summit border (Switzerland-Italy), or even knew that it existed. But the name "Urtirolaspitz" alone left me no other choice. -

Gear of the Week | Blizzard Rustler 11
03/20/2022 • Steffen Kruse
I can fully subscribe to what is written on the sidewall of the Blizzard Rustler: "Live The Moment". Three words that can easily be applied to other areas of life, but are definitely the law with the Rustler under your feet. I've taken a closer look at the award-winning steam hammer over the last two seasons. -

Gear of the week | Haglöfs Vassi GTX Touring Combo
02/13/2022 • Steffen Kruse
When I unpacked the suit, it was already crackling. Not just inside me with anticipation, but even more so the material of the combo. The sound reminded me of craft paper from the past and spinnaker cloth from sailing. -

Gear of the week | Wells Lamont x Faction Skis Glove
02/06/2022 • Steffen Kruse
Since my antiquated Marmot work glove is slowly giving up because the leather is getting thin and the seams are tearing in places, I've been looking around for a replacement. -

Gear of the week | Schöffel La Grave ski suit
01/30/2022 • Steffen Kruse
When I think of Schöffel, I don't necessarily think of modern and highly technical freeride clothing. So I was all the more pleasantly surprised when the La Grave suit arrived in my mailbox. The first thought was that it felt good. The second was that it was comfortable to wear and the third was the casual cut. -

Gear of the Week | Evoc Wash Bag 4
11/14/2021 • Steffen Kruse
From time to time you need a new toiletry bag, especially if you travel a lot. I've always had a "classic" toiletry bag on wheels for the last fifteen years and have now entered new territory with the Evoc Bag. I liked my old rolling bag, but unfortunately it is now falling apart. Let's see what the Evoc Wash Bag can do! -

Gear of the Week | Thule Chariot Sport 2
10/24/2021 • Steffen Kruse
We were lucky enough to get the Chariot stroller new, although it is certainly just as good used. I'm writing about the new condition because you can see right from the start that this product has been thought through down to the last detail and will work perfectly for a Thule lifetime! -

Gear of the Week | BERGMENSCHEN
04/11/2021 • Steffen Kruse
I recently received this book as a gift. In terms of format (size, weight) and structure, it's not a book I would devour, but I enjoy it regularly for a few pages, then put it aside and look forward to the next Bergmenschen. -

Gear of the Week | Brigandine FUTURELIGHT™ jacket from The North Face
04/04/2021 • Steffen Kruse
The first contact was already very pleasant, the fit was perfect for me. I am 1.86, 83 kg and the size M fits me perfectly. -

Gear of the Week | Blizzard Ski Family
03/14/2021 • Steffen Kruse
To be honest, I don't even know how I came up with this Gear of the Week. I think it rather found me! I had been looking for skis that would suit my needs for some time, namely slalom skis for pre-season preparation on the piste and for in-between, a powder ski for fat days, an everyday freeride ski and an early-season touring ski for 2,000 vertical meters plus, narrow couloirs and alpine adventures. -

TouringTip | Piz d'Urezza
02/23/2021 • Steffen Kruse
The tour described here is a summit that is not visited very often. However, this is completely unjustified, as it offers a magnificent panorama, magnificent and varied downhill options and, if desired, ski in/out directly from Zernez railway station. -

Gear of the Week | Marker Duke PT 16
02/21/2021 • Steffen Kruse
When I saw the Duke last year, I knew I had to test it and it had to go on the Rustler 11. I had already bought the first Duke back then and was a big fan, but then switched to ATK as the material developed.
