Snow condition
Most of the crevasses were covered in snow and rock contact was largely ruled out. In the couloirs leading to the Toula glacier, there is currently a little less snow, making access to the glacier a little more "alpine". We didn't ski all the way down to the valley - certainly doable with stone skis and a spirit of adventure (another 1-2 days at the current temperatures).

Snow quality
The snow on the Toula glacier itself was excellent. Super surfy and light snow for enjoyable turns. The access to the glacier is via couloirs, which currently still feel like they have too little snow for a clean descent and are very icy and hard. We have abseiled down. The last few meters to the gondola station (2,100-2,300 m) were noticeably harder and wetter.
Risks
Wind intensity: Medium (20 – 40 km/h)
The snowpack on the Toula glacier felt relatively stable. We didn't notice any warning signs, but there are a few old avalanche cracks (approx. 2-3 days old). In some places there are quite large open crevasses, but these are clearly visible. We didn't notice any unstable snow bridges (at least on our descent).
Overall impression
The plan was to ski a few laps on the Skyway gondola. The snow on the Toula glacier is excellent right up to just before the middle station, if it weren't for the complicated access to the glacier due to the current snow conditions. We descended the couloir next to the old steps (which no longer exist), but had to abseil down and slide sideways due to the icy ground. The other couloirs seem to be skiable, but with very little snow. In principle, good conditions, but you have to know your way around and know where to go. Backs and other variants (under the cables) seem rideable, but hard and poor in snow. After just one descent over the Toula glacier, which took us a good 2 hours including the ascent, we went back through the tunnel and up the Aiguille du Midi again for the final descent.
