03/23/2025 by Pascal Schindler
With breathtaking lines peppered with courageous tricks and unforgettable moments, the YETI Xtreme Verbier by Honda once again showed why it is considered the ultimate stop on the tour.

VERBIER, Switzerland - March 20th, 2025: The YETI Xtreme Verbier by Honda 2025 provided a spectacular finale to the FIS Freeride World Tour by Peak Performance (FWT). At the legendary Bec des Rosses, the world's best freeriders fought a thrilling competition for the day's victory and the coveted overall title.

For ideal conditions, the weather window was brought forward by one day at short notice. As a result, the competition took place in bright sunshine and demanding snow conditions, providing the athletes with a setup for their spectacular runs.

Victor de Le Rue (FRA) set a historic mark with his fourth overall victory, while Noémie Equy (FRA) crowned her impressive rookie season with a triumph. Jenna Keller (SUI) and Weitien Ho (CAN) enjoyed their first victories in an FWT competition. Justine Dufour-Lapointe (CAN) and Marcus Goguen (CAN) took the title, underlining their status among the freeride elite.

Snowboard men: Cody Bramwell triumphs at the YETI Xtreme Verbier - Victor de Le Rue secures historic fourth FWT title

Victor de Le Rue (FRA) produced a historic highlight today at the YETI Xtreme Verbier by Honda: with a well thought-out and strategic, technically demanding run, the Frenchman secured his fourth overall victory in the Freeride World Tour (FWT). De Le Rue impressed with a double cliff drop shortly after the start and completed his run with a clean frontside 360. With a score of 89.00 points, he took third place - enough to secure his fourth title. This brings him level with record holder Marion Haerty and surpasses the three titles held by his brother Xavier de Le Rue.

However, the victory of the day went to Great Britain's Cody Bramwell (GBR), who impressed with an almost perfect run on the legendary Bec des Rosses. In the upper, extremely steep section, despite challenging snow conditions, he performed a risky backflip in extremely exposed terrain and stood it safely. Another 360 and a backflip just before the finish earned him an outstanding score of 92.67 points. This victory was his second of the season and secured him silver in the overall standings.

Swiss rider Liam Rivera (SUI) also wowed the spectators with his thrilling run. He opened his run with a spectacular jump from the Hollywood Cliff and ended it with a perfectly landed backflip. His strong performance was rewarded with 90.00 points and second place. Thanks to this result, he also secured third place in the overall standings and crowned his impressive comeback in the second half of the season.

Bramwell and Rivera were able to show their full potential, especially towards the end of the season, and fought their way up the rankings. While they secured second and third place, it was ultimately de Le Rue's consistency that earned him his fourth title. The season finale in Verbier was a worthy conclusion to an exciting FWT season in which all three athletes shone with exceptional performances.

"Winning the Xtreme Verbier is a dream come true for me. It's such a legendary competition that I still can't realize it. I had almost written myself off and thought about next year, but somehow I still came second overall. I still can't believe it."- Cody Bramwell, winner of the men's snowboard YETI Xtreme Verbier by Honda 2025

"I'm incredibly happy to go down in history with this title. That was my goal from the start of the season. But the competition was strong and the conditions were challenging. It all came down to that last run and I'm grateful that everything went the way it did." - Victor de Le Rue, overall winner snowboard men FWT 2025

Men's skiing: Weitien Ho triumphs at the YETI Xtreme Verbier by Honda - Marcus Goguen secures FWT title for the first time

Marcus Goguen (CAN) crowned his impressive season with his first overall victory in the Freeride World Tour (FWT). With a huge backflip but deductions for control, he finished in fourth place, but his consistently strong performances throughout the season were enough to secure him the 2025 title. With the day's victory in Verbier by Weitien Ho (CAN), the friends made history for the Canadian team.

Oscar Mandin opened for the men's field and dropped jaws with a fluid yet speedy start. After three big jumps, he almost landed a double backflip and scored 55.67 points.

Ho impressed on his debut on the Bec des Rosses with an outstanding performance in which he masterfully combined technical precision and big mountain style. He mastered the steep upper section with aplomb before shining with one of the biggest jumps of the day and a backflip. A wide cork 360 (i.e. off-axes) and a consistently fluid line secured him 84.33 points - the highest score among the skiers and his first FWT victory.

Ross Tester (USA) presented a fast, aggressive run with a cleanly landed 360. With 76.67 points, he secured second place ahead of rookie Toby Rafford (USA), who came third with 72.67 points. Rafford proved throughout the season why he deserves a place on the FWT and was awarded "Rookie of the Year" for his performance.

Martin Bender (SUI) and Toby Rafford (USA) took second and third place overall. Bender held on to the top spot with stylish skiing and his trademark 360s, while Rafford made a strong debut in his first FWT year with two podium finishes.

Tyrolean Valentin Rainer (AUT), overall FWT winner in 2023, still had a chance of taking the title before the final. He showed three high jumps and a clean 360, but then took a risky cork 720, where he fell and lost a ski. This resulted in a no score, meaning no points for him, so he dropped back to fourth place in the overall standings.

Tiemo Rolshoven (GER) competed in his first FWT season on the Bec des Rosses for the first time and put in a promising performance. After landing three clean high drops, he went for a double backflip, but was unable to land it and ended up in eighth place. He finished the season in ninth place in the overall standings.

"It's an honor to have won the Xtreme Verbier. I can hardly believe it and couldn't have wished for a better end to the season - this is the cherry on the cake!" - Weitien Ho, Winner Men's Ski YETI Xtreme Verbier by Honda 2025

"This title means everything to me, it was a childhood dream and to realize it with my old buddy Weitien Ho, who won today, makes it even more special. I couldn't have wished for a better result." - Marcus Goguen, Overall Winner Men's Ski FWT 2025

Women's Ski: Jenna Keller triumphs at the YETI Xtreme Verbier by Honda - Justine Dufour-Lapointe takes her second FWT title

Justine Dufour-Lapointe (CAN) crowned her strong season with her second overall victory in the Freeride World Tour (FWT). With a controlled and precise run, she secured second place in Verbier with 77.00 points - enough to secure gold in the 2025 overall standings. The former Olympic champion in the mogul once again proved her versatility. Her commanding performance throughout the season underlined her class and earned her a well-deserved second world championship title.

However, the big winner of the day was Jenna Keller (SUI), who celebrated her first FWT victory in front of her home crowd in Verbier. With a confident ride through the steep upper passage and a determined, cleanly landed jump on the Géraldine Fasnacht Cliff, she made a clear statement. Her performance was rewarded with 82.00 points and the cheers of the audience.

Lena Kohler (GER) from Memmingen started her Verbier premiere with a lot of speed and landed her first jump safely. However, after a courageous air from a high ledge, she lost control and crashed. Nevertheless, her performance was enough for third place in Verbier. She crowned her strong season with fourth place in the overall standings - an impressive result in her first FWT season.

Dufour-Lapointe's consistency ultimately proved decisive for her title win, while Keller impressed with a sensational rookie season. Two second places and her acclaimed victory in Verbier earned her second place overall. Astrid Cheylus (FRA) completed the overall podium in third place. She got off to a strong start with a win and a second place, but suffered setbacks in the second half of the season, with her ski catching on a stone just a few meters after the start in Verbier and causing her to fall. Nevertheless, she deservedly secured a place in the top three overall.

"My whole body is shaking. It's crazy to think that I've never had many wins in my freeride career and now it's a dream come true for me." - Jenna Keller, winner of the Women's Ski YETI Xtreme Verbier by Honda 2025

"After all the challenges I've faced, it's a really special feeling to have won this second title. I went into this season just to have fun, but I love to challenge myself and do my best. This win reminds me how incredible life is and that anything is possible if you put your heart and mind to it. I am so proud and grateful to be part of this amazing freeride community. I will cherish this moment forever." - Justine Dufour-Lapointe, overall winner Ski Ladies FWT 2025

Women's snowboard: Noémie Equy wins the YETI Xtreme Verbier, crowning a perfect rookie season with the FWT title for women snowboarders

Noémie Equy (FRA) dominated the competition on the Bec des Rosses. With a flawless and speedy run, she took victory at the YETI Xtreme Verbier by Honda, having already secured her FWT title before the event. Equy started on the upper steep flank of the slope and combined fluid turns with a cleanly executed jump before riding a huge double cliff drop with unwavering confidence. Her powerful and precise riding style, learned at her home resort of Chamonix, earned her an outstanding score of 89.67 and sealed a historic rookie season in which she won four out of six events.

Michaela Davis-Meehan (AUS) secured second place with 83.00 points. She combined strong technical sections with fluid turns, an air and a 360. Núria Castán Barón (ESP) rounded off the podium in third place (74.00) with a controlled run in which she navigated confidently through complex terrain.

Equy had already secured the FWT title in Fieberbrunn, but her victory in Verbier cemented her reputation as one of the most dominant rookies in the history of freeriding. Davis-Meehan's comeback, which included a win in Kicking Horse and three second places in a row after a weak start to the season, earned her second place in the overall standings. Castán Barón (ESP) secured third place in the overall standings. She had only just reached the FWT final and was now on the podium in Verbier for the third time this season.

"To win the title and the Xtreme Verbier in my rookie season is more than I ever expected. I'm really happy with the outcome and am now looking forward to celebrating and working on getting even better next winter." - Noémie Equy, winner YETI Xtreme Verbier by Honda 2025 & overall winner FWT 2025 Snowboard Women
