Avalanche management with children
11/20/2021 • Simon PfandlerAnyone who has been out and about on touring skis for a while can observe a welcome development: More and more children and young people are on the mountain with their parents and are enthusiastic about this sport. This may be because fewer and fewer families are willing to pay the high lift prices or because long lift queues encourage them to climb up together using their own muscle power. -

Gear of the Week | Thule Chariot Sport 2
10/24/2021 • Steffen Kruse
We were lucky enough to get the Chariot stroller new, although it is certainly just as good used. I'm writing about the new condition because you can see right from the start that this product has been thought through down to the last detail and will work perfectly for a Thule lifetime! -

Test & Overview | Ski touring bindings for children
10/18/2021 • Baschi BenderIt was the end of August 2020, I had just returned from my summer vacation, the surfboard had been put away and the ski season was just around the corner. Like any normal skier, I asked myself typical questions for the time: When is the first snow coming? How many PowderAlerts await us? Is my setup right for the new season? -

Gear of the Week | ISBJÖRN of Sweden
04/07/2019 • Totti LingottiActually, we've all remained a bit of a child - luckily! - and so we always get that big grin at the first powder turn of the winter, which children experience hundreds of times a day. So that they can keep it outside in the forest, in the snow and in the mud, there is also clever outdoor clothing for children. The polar bear brand from Sweden (ISBJÖRN of Sweden) has been producing high-quality clothing for the little ones for almost 15 years, without any environmental toxins. -

Gear of the week | Ski touring with bike trailer
03/17/2019 • Totti Lingotti
What could be better than travelling in the mountains with the whole family? Even in winter, this is possible with a converted bike trailer! To anticipate an outcry: We are not going on a normal ski tour here, but rather ski touring in very moderate terrain, i.e. on prepared winter or unprepared summer trails. Whether this is acceptable for everyone is up to you. -

Youngstars Challenge 2014 in Oberstdorf | Report
01/26/2014 • Tobias HuberDespite the poor snow conditions, this year's Youngstars Challenge was held in relatively good conditions and perfect weather. A total of almost 100 children and young people between the ages of 7 and 16 took part in both contests.
