Guide | Insulation clothing
03/30/2016 • Lorenzo Rieg
Skiing, snowboarding and ski touring may not always take place at low temperatures, but they often do - after all, the beloved powder snow is rarely found at temperatures above zero. Precipitation in frozen form is also usually welcome and the wind, with its well-known chill factor, is more frequent and stronger in the high mountains compared to the lowlands. The sports that PowderGuide is all about can therefore make you feel cold. Or rather, you can get cold if you're not properly dressed! -

Gear Reviews | Icebreaker Atom Long Sleeve Zip Hood
02/12/2016 • Volker LehmannAccording to a survey, 40% of all clothes in my closet are never or rarely worn. When I look in my wardrobe, my non-wear rate is probably even higher. In everyday life, I wear two pairs of pants, have two or three favorite sweaters and I wear a handful of shirts, alternating between them depending on the day of the week. ISPO Report 2015 | Part 4: Clothing
02/09/2015 • Johannes Wolf
In the fourth part of our ISPO report, we present the new products and trends in the textile sector. The trend from last year continues: it remains colorful, even if the colors will be a little more subtle and no longer so bright. Every manufacturer now has a selection of colorful high-tech textiles in its range. Manufacturers who have long been known for their love of color, such as Norrona, have already passed the peak of colorfulness and are back to more muted colors. Groundbreaking innovations are not to be expected, especially in the textile sector, but many materials are being combined and product lines and production processes are being further developed. The issue of reducing the environmental impact of textile production is becoming increasingly important. This is also reflected in the fact that more and more natural materials such as wool are being used. -
