In this test report, we have the honour of taking a closer look at the unique and limited edition upcycled items. -

Gear reviews | Ortovox 3L Ravine combo
02/01/2024 • Johannes Wolf
The Ortovox 3L Ravine combo is a lightweight freeride combo for the backcountry that feels at home on freeride descents as well as ascents in steep gullies. -

Gear of the week | Ortovox Col Becchei WB Short
03/19/2023 • Clarisse PauerUntil two years ago, I always wore Gore-Tex trousers in the ski area and while ski touring. They were wide, stiff, rather heavy and waterproof. Last year, I bought a pair of ski touring trousers that are tighter, made of stretch and of course not waterproof everywhere - but they are much more comfortable and lighter. -

Gear of the week | Haglöfs Vassi GTX Pro Combo
03/12/2023 • Steffen KruseI have used the Haglöfs Vassi Combo on about twenty ski tours so far. I wear a size L at 185 cm and 85 kg. The suit fits perfectly, not too loose, but not too tight either. I find both the jacket and trousers very light compared to my old suit, which is why I was rather sceptical about their durability for treeruns or other tougher uses. But so far I have no complaints! -

Gear Review | Picture Folder Xpore Jacket & Bib
03/26/2022 • Lorenzo RiegSince it was founded almost 15 years ago, the Picture brand, which goes by the full name of Picture Organic Clothing, has stood for sustainable winter sports clothing. On the one hand, sustainable, often bio-based materials are used wherever possible and harmful substances are avoided. On the other hand, Picture also uses innovative approaches such as a lifetime guarantee on the typical "wear parts" of clothing such as zips, buttons and seams. -

Gear Review | Scott Chaser 3L Combo
03/21/2022 • Christian SkalaWith the Line Chaser combo, Scott is launching a minimalist ski touring outfit onto the market. One special feature is the three-layer DRYOspun fabric, which combines low weight with high functionality. On the other hand, Scott is also focussing on sustainability with this outfit by using recycled and renewable materials. I was able to test whether the advertised properties actually apply in outdoor use. -

Gear Review | Ortovox 3L Deep Shell Combo
02/17/2022 • Johannes Wolf
Three-layer jackets and trousers are now a dime a dozen and pretty much every manufacturer has at least one model in their range. With the 3L Deep Shell combination, Ortovox has another freeride and touring combination on offer. I was able to test how this combination performs in practice this winter. -

Gear of the week | Haglöfs Vassi GTX Touring Combo
02/13/2022 • Steffen Kruse
When I unpacked the suit, it was already crackling. Not just inside me with anticipation, but even more so the material of the combo. The sound reminded me of craft paper from the past and spinnaker cloth from sailing. -

Gear of the week | Schöffel La Grave ski suit
01/30/2022 • Steffen Kruse
When I think of Schöffel, I don't necessarily think of modern and highly technical freeride clothing. So I was all the more pleasantly surprised when the La Grave suit arrived in my mailbox. The first thought was that it felt good. The second was that it was comfortable to wear and the third was the casual cut. -

Freeskiing is still a comparatively young sport. A well-known figure in this sport is certainly the now 50-year-old Chris Davenport. -
