It should be common knowledge that you can still go ski touring well into spring. However, if you are not out and about in the highest regions of the Alps, a mountain bike is often helpful for the snow-free approach in addition to a good dose of motivation!
Ascent
From the Hinterstein parking lot (subject to charge), take the mountain bike on a paved forest path to the Giebelhaus and continue on the left side of the Bärgündeletal valley to the Pointhütte or to the old snow line. The bike is deposited there and the route continues with skis and skins towards the end of the valley.
After crossing the stream, the route first climbs moderately, then steeply towards the south-east. Under a massive rock face, keep to the right in a flat section. At the first steep step, head upwards in a gully (possibly with crampons here).
Now continue up the chamois basin to the next steep section. The rock ledge is best bypassed on the right. With a left traverse to the middle summit. This traverse requires all your attention again before continuing on the flat western ridge to the highest point (without summit cross).
