Video 1: Of the Black Sea (Ski Film) by Giray Dadali
Just outside New York, one of the most influential freestyle crews of its time emerged in the 2000s: the Dadali brothers, Andy Perry and Will Wesson - backyard setups, creativity and lots of style. Their father emigrated from Turkey to the USA and married an American. Giray and Ahmet, two of five siblings, discovered their passion for skiing at an early age and made it to the top of the scene.
In this film, Giray returns to his roots and puts the Turkish freeride scene in the spotlight. It exists - and it is heart-warming. A strong, personal project that shows that skiing unites us all in the mountains, no matter where we come from.
Rider: Giray Dadali and friends
Video 2: Two Days, The Tetons, and Alex Yoder | Patagonia
No conversations, no cell phone - just real sound. This is as close as you can get to the feeling. Pure splitboard ASMR. A solo mission with equipment sled and camera, two days alone in the mountains.
Rider: Alex Yoder
Video 3: Simple As A Turn | Patagonia Films
My favorite snowboard carver Nicholas Wolken. The creative mind behind Korua in the spotlight - as simple as a turn and yet so much more. His story from pro to product development.
The turn - that's what riding is all about. A strong film concept that is dedicated to a clear topic and accompanies it with analysis.
Rider: Nicholas Wolken, James Niederberger
Video 4: FORM - The Intersection of Free Skiing and Jazz
Xander Guldman, his brother Jordan and their childhood friend Coltor start a new project - skiers, filmmakers and jazz musicians all in one. A dream: their own soundtrack, recorded live and perfectly matched to the lines, filmed by their brother.
Everything was filmed in a zone on Donnerberg called "ASI", where Xander was already out and about in the backcountry as a child. Great riding and a beautifully rounded concept that combines film and music in a special way.
Riders: Xander Guldman and Jordan Guldman
