Spotcheck | Nassfeld: A ski trip in four acts
11/05/2014 • German Wehinger
The snowless winter of 2013/14 in the northern Alps and the constant reports of Adriatic lows - with their almost unbelievable amounts of snow - drew our attention to Carinthia. And because Mother Hulda was particularly kind to us, there was another half a meter on top 48 hours before our arrival - snow depths of around 4 m awaited us at Nassfeld! -

Freeride tour of the week | Stockhorn
12/03/2012 • German WehingerThe Stockhorn is quite easy to reach via a ridge. After a short ascent, the summit is quickly reached. Once at the top, the view of the glaciated landscape will amaze you. The entire Monte Rosa massif is within easy reach, but the view of the Matterhorn and Gorner glacier is also impressive. Depending on the conditions, you can ski down moderately steep or steeper terrain. Caution! The crevasses on the Trifji Glacier are a serious danger on this variant.
