The Back on Track Feel Freeride Contest is entering the next round and registration will open on Monday, February 11 at 8 pm. For all those who want to take part, it's time to be quick!

We are delighted to be able to offer a place at the training session, the next level camp and the end-of-season chillout again this year together with risk'n'fun. risk'n'fun is the training program of the Alpine Club Youth. In addition to learning technical skills, the freeride camps also focus on "human" topics such as group dynamics and personal risk perception.

In order to describe avalanches - for example in avalanche bulletins, after accidents or for feedback from the terrain - standardized terms should be used for their size. From the 2018/19 season, the official EAWS terminology has been adapted to common usage in order to improve comprehensibility for winter sports enthusiasts.

With the Powder Calendar, there will once again be plenty of powder action within your own four walls all year round in 2019.

Once again this year, we would like to present the PowderGuide community with a few suggestions for (more or less) suitable Christmas gifts for winter sports enthusiasts. Online registration for the free SnowHow Camps opened yesterday. The camps provide avalanche knowledge for beginners and slightly advanced freeriders and ski tourers in a practical day and evening lectures.

The Linehunters Movie Tour is back! The Linehunters mainly bring local films to the big screen and show that even productions with a tiny fraction of the budget of TGR or MSP have a lot to offer. The motto of the tour is: By freeriders for freeriders.
