PowderGuide and everywhere else is currently teeming with movie tour announcements, trailers, teasers and other snowy video snippets. To give you an overview of this year's movie offerings, we have compiled everything that has flickered across our screens so far.

The European Outdoor Film Tour is back on the road with a new program from 10 October 2018. As always, the tour scores with an exciting and varied program that lets you escape from everyday life for around 120 minutes.

The Warren Miller Film Tour will be touring Germany again from October. The 69th film from Warren Miller Entertainment is a tribute to Warren Miller, who passed away in 2018. He knew how to capture the magic of skiing for moviegoers around the world like no other.

We no longer believed it, but the summer heatwave has come to an end and the last cold front has brought the first signs of fall, at least in the mountains. This naturally raises the question: when will the ski resorts open? We have done a bit of research and compiled a list of resorts that will open before the end of November - without guarantee and with the note that ski resort websites are notoriously unreliable when it comes to such things...

Possible breakage of the steel pins on the front jaws can lead to reduced release force and thus increase the risk of falling. Models 10 and 13 from the 2017/18 season (gold or reddish color) are affected. The toe pieces of the corresponding bindings will be replaced free of charge. The four-day outdoor trade fair in Friedrichshafen heralds the start of summer every year and brings the past season to a close. This year was no exception: in shorts and a T-shirt, we went to the trade fair in Friedrichshafen once again in search of exciting new products and innovations.

Statistical key data on alpine accidents in 2017, presented by the Austrian Board of Trustees for Alpine Safety and the Alpine Police (BM.I): 283 people died in accidents in the Austrian Alps in 2017, 18 of them on ski tours, 13 while off-piste skiing and 27 while skiing/snowboarding on pistes and ski routes.
