And the Oscar goes to... The first PowderGuide photo contest of the 2011 season is over. Over 40 submissions, hundreds of Facebook likes and a jury that literally tore its hair out: That was the first photo contest of 2011, theme: landscape, mood and ski tour.

The first BigLePowSki event was held in Davos (Pischa) two years ago. In the meantime, the "Dude" has grown into a tour and this time the whole thing took place on Thomas Mann's "Zauberberg". The Berghotel Schatzalp and the associated Strela ski area provided the perfect location and ambience for the second stop of the BigLePowSki tour in a fitting atmosphere.

After our well-earned beers last night, we sleep in until 8.00 am...

The ideal starting point for this challenging 1300-metre tour is the small village of Murbach, located northwest of Guebwiller in a side valley of the Florival (Blumenthal).

Gear Reviews are (and always have been) an important part of PowderGuide. The aim has never been to test everything the market has to offer.
