Following the great success of the first Grottoflage collection last winter, the outdoor brands Atomic and Arc'teryx are presenting a new edition of the limited design. Last year the two brans joined forces and presented the Grottoflage pattern, which is derived from the Arc'teryx logo.
The few 56 pairs of Atomic x Arc'teryx Maverick 115 CTI skis were sold out within minutes and the raffle on PowderGuide.com at that time became the last chance to get your hands on a pair of those limited skis. Accordingly, many participants did not win. For them and everyone else, there really is now a second chance to get out on the snow with the design and a perfect freeride set-up.
For this winter, the collection of the two brands has been significantly expanded and, in addition to skis, poles, helmets and goggles from Atomic and a jacket and pants from Arc'teryx are now also being presented. The Austrian-Canadian manufacturers are thus consolidating their close collaboration and to top it all off, there is now not only a men's version, but also the same set-up for women.
The design was originally initiated and co-developed by Atomic and Arc'teryx athlete Craig Murray, but now freerider Tonje Kvivik, who is also supported by both brands, is also in the boat respectively on the skis with Grottoflage.
Last winter, the pattern was still quite dark in a black and white look, whereas this winter, the men's version is lighter in brown shades and the women's version has an almost cherry blossom spring-like and pleasantly attractive lilac hue. We are looking forward to seeing lots of high-contrast and beautiful pictures in the snow!
