Splittie of the Week | Splittiewood or what are you watching?

What to do in times of little snow?

04/08/2025 by Tobias Leistenschneider
Splittie of the Week is entering the season finale, but the current weather is driving the beads of rain onto the forehead of the author, who is mainly active in the Black Forest. The lexical re-creation of the oracle doesn't make the situation any better, but makes our reality all the more present. Thanks for that ;-)

This short edition of Splittie of the Week doesn't want to compete with the "Videos of the Week" in any way, but it does want to shine with less text and more moving images. Splitboarding videos should be shown and collected together with you.

I can always enjoy consuming appropriate fare in times of little snow and keep the motivation high for upcoming adventures.

Here I have two videos in particular that I watch over and over again and simply never find them boring. I would like to share these with you:

In Limbo:

Spark R&D team rider Mike Handford impressively demonstrates that you don't need powder snow to experience a super nice mountain adventure and ride a really nice snowboard.

The scenery is almost as beautiful as here in the Black Forest.

Turn of Mind:

In addition to the film's message, it's Nicholas Wolken's turns that mesmerize me time and time again. As a convinced hardbooter myself, this is my bible.

Not yet in my evergreens, as it's too new, there is still the following highlight:

Aesthetics:

Splitboarders who also like to watch splitboarding can hardly get past Antti Autti's series "Arctic Lines". If you don't know it yet, go for it. All individual episodes could appear here.

Just recently this somewhat longer episode was released in cooperation with Jeremy Jones and Elena Hight. I have to admit that I don't follow Jeremy Jones too closely and haven't seen anything from him in a while, but hell yeah, he rides a shoe.

Now, dear splitboarders - let your treasures out. What videos do you have saved in your browsers?

Share them with us all to help us get through the rainy season and make us emotionally fit for spring.
