Gear of the Week | DIY ski/stocking wardrobe
03/22/2026 • Pascal Schindler & Totti LingottiWhether it's a dusty memento from the attic or a much-loved piece of equipment that has just done its last duty. Instead of disposing of the old slats in the bulky waste, we are resurrecting them as stylish interior elements. In order to protect our beloved winter, the trend is towards a circular economy, and with it the upcycling of ski equipment. We at PowderGuide have put together our own projects to show you what a little time, creativity and sweat can do. Let's start with the wardrobe. -

Gear review | Valhalla Bamboo 104
03/09/2026 • Max EliasA comparison between a freeride ski and a Black Forest gateau may seem unusual at first glance, as they are two fundamentally different things: a piece of sports equipment and a culinary product. Nevertheless, some metaphorical parallels can be drawn here: Both skis and cakes are made by industrious craftsmen with expertise and attention to detail - craftsmanship and tradition. They represent a combination of traditional materials and modern production techniques. - Enjoyment and experience: skiing in open terrain offers an intense and eventful skiing experience. Enjoying a Black Forest gateau is at least as sensual an experience, where flavors and textures merge. -

Gear review | Atomic Maverick 96 Cti
02/26/2026 • Lorenzo RiegThe Maverick Cti 96 is a classic all-mountain model, i.e. a ski for as many conditions as possible. Gear review | PUSHrack SNOWbag & SNOW Update
02/14/2026 • Johanna Korte & Totti LingottiAn astonishing number of campers have been using the PUSHcomponents bike rack for several years now. Mounting with the handlebars on the rear doors, which was still conspicuous at the beginning, has already established itself as normal. The ski, snowboard and cross-country ski holders and the SNOWbag from PUSHcomponents are even less common. We have tested the SNOWbag and provide an update on the options for attaching winter sports equipment to campers and vans. -

Gear of the Week | DIY-Skishop
12/14/2025 • Pascal SchindlerThe first turns of the season have been made, but to be honest: There was still room for improvement. Classic: Over the summer, I completely forgot about the service and realized on the slopes that the slats were slowing down rather than gliding. So it was back to square one! With a few pallets, friends and hot wax, we now make the boards really smooth again. The next adventure can come - but this time with speed! -
