Gear Review | HEAD STELLA Snowboard
10/15/2026 • Alexandra ZolotykhThe HEAD STELLA is a lightweight and easy-to-ride snowboard for beginners and slightly advanced riders. The True Twin shape and Zero Camber profile make the board easy to control and provide a solid foundation for making your first strides on the slopes, riding switch, and in the park. I tested the STELLA for several weeks in a variety of conditions, from hard and icy slopes to soft spring snow and even some off-piste excursions. The test shows just how versatile this board really is. -

Gear Review | Nidecker Rift Pro Women
10/07/2026 • Alexandra ZolotykhThe Nidecker Rift Pro Women is a lightweight snowboard boot with medium stiffness, a Dual BOA system, and a relatively narrow fit. It offers a secure fit with enough freedom of movement for a variety of on-mountain activities. I tested the boot for about two months on the slopes, in powder, and on splitboard tours. I experienced everything from cold winter days to wet spring slush. This review shows how the Rift Pro performs in terms of comfort, control, and versatility. -

Longboard Classic Stuben 2026
04/23/2026 • Till MangesiusThe season finale for many snowboarders took place in the best weather and a great atmosphere! A race where winning comes third, with over 700 participants from very young to "relatively" old - and PowderGuide is right in the middle of it instead of just being there. -

Gear review | Nidecker Kita APX snowboard boots
04/13/2026 • Timo MacvanThe Nidecker Kita APX in the test: Powerful all-mountain boot with maximum control on the piste and off-piste, made for precise and demanding riding. A boot that has at least raised my snowboarding to a new level, thanks to a feedback culture that some institutions could take a leaf out of their book. -

Videos of the Week #21 2025/26 | Fika with Spring
04/10/2026 • Hannes HemperApril, April - VDW is back, for the penultimate time this season. It's not over until it's over, and that's exactly how this winter feels. I've brought you lots of spring edits, including a conspicuous number of Swedes - like Bjarne's new web series Fika, in which he accompanies ski and snowboard legends through their everyday lives. There's also NUBZ TV with Freeride World Tour icons Ben Richards and Toby Rafford as well as a documentary that is particularly close to my heart: Into Altai with Victor Daviet - on the road in the UAZ bus through Mongolia. -

Gear review | Nidecker - The Gun & Supermatic Carbon
03/11/2026 • Timo Macvan174 centimeters of matt black. Not a gimmick, but a clear statement: The Gun! The Supermatic Carbon is mounted on it. Strap in, engage, step on the gas. Together, this setup looks as if it has been cast from a single mold. It's stiff, direct and damn determined. A board that doesn't just handle speed, but actively demands it. And a binding that ensures that every movement arrives exactly where it should. -

Videos of the Week #18 2025/26 | Vicinity
03/06/2026 • Hannes HemperMarch ushers in spring - and to match, here's my favorite short film by Finn Bilous, which has just been released. We also go snow camping in the Swiss Alps and Manu Bernard presents his unique style of season recap in pure, simple art. The full review of the Nines is online with breathtaking footage and we get exciting insights into the development of a new Armada snowboard. -

Gear review | PUSHrack SNOWbag & SNOW Update
02/14/2026 • Johanna Korte & Totti LingottiAn astonishing number of campers have been using the PUSHcomponents bike rack for several years now. Mounting with the handlebars on the rear doors, which was still conspicuous at the beginning, has already established itself as normal. The ski, snowboard and cross-country ski holders and the SNOWbag from PUSHcomponents are even less common. We have tested the SNOWbag and provide an update on the options for attaching winter sports equipment to campers and vans. -

Gear review | Nidecker Escape Plus
01/29/2026 • Till MangesiusThe big brother of the Escape 2026 comes with a design that appears simple at first glance. There is a lot of black with colorful accents. As with some other manufacturers, the plus means that more carbon is used. This makes the board stiffer and provides more control at high speeds. The sizes range from 156 to 165 W, making the board more suitable for taller riders. Find out how it performed on the mountain here! -

01/19/2026 • Tobias Leistenschneiderrockercamberhybridcamberrockerhybridpowdercamberbananarockercruisecamber... The list is long. If you want to buy a new splitboard today, you will inevitably be confronted with one of these terms, namely when choosing the suitable or desired shape of the new sled. The list is so long that we cannot and do not want to provide an all-encompassing overview, but we have taken a quick look at the field to help you make sure that your new splitboard suits you and your tours to some extent. -

Videos of the Week #11 2025/26 | Without a Pedal
01/02/2026 • Hannes HemperSurvived Christmas, said hello to the whole family in love and stress - or hid somewhere in the snow or on the beach? I'm using this space this week to draw attention to a website: the Freeski Museum. Eric Iberg has been working for years on creating a platform that brings together all ski films, all ski pro models, all podcasts, etc. It's finally online and still a long way from being finished - but wow, so cool. Thanks for that.
