Mammut has determined that parts of batches 12/12 & 03/13 of the newly developed "RescYou" crevasse recovery device may fail.
A defect has been discovered in the two production batches of the devices: The backstop of the pulley block may not block sufficiently and the rope may therefore slip back into the starting position.
The production batches 12/12 & 03/13 of the product "RescYou" are affected. The batch number can be found on the blue rope clamp of the device.
All customers who are in possession of a "RescYou" (item no. 2210-01160) with production batches 12/12 or 03/13 should stop using the product immediately and return the affected product.
Customers have the following options for returns:
1. send your Mammut "RescYou" of the production batches 12/12 & 03/13 to Mammut customer service.
2. return the "RescYou" to your Mammut dealer. They will take care of the processing for you.
