01/01/2021 • Lars OelmannUllr likes it comfortable and leaves the powder machine in the same setting as last time, we already know it. One man's joy, the Northern Alps' sorrow: there's another südstau. -

Videos of the Week #4 2020/21 | Südstau and privileges
12/11/2020 • Sebastian MüllerThe südstau has delivered, the mountains are full of white splendor. The videos are still lagging a little behind, but we're already seeing something from the Italian Dolomites! Plus a fresh film from Austria and a slightly older French one from the Julian Alps. Also: once again, we can't get past Nikolai Schirmer. -

PowderAlert 1 2020/21 | Infected by the powder virus?
12/03/2020 • Lars OelmannLife in times of improvisation. One thing in advance to prevent angry protest emails: We as PowderGuide are not trying to persuade you to cuddle up in a group in an infection gondola. For some, however, there is an opportunity to have fun in the snow without dancing with the R-value, which is why we want to make every effort this season to introduce you to the regions with the best snow in the Alert! If you can and are allowed to go, you're in luck! -

TouringTip | Roascharte
11/26/2020 • Christian SkalaExcellent espresso, sunshine and a landscape to fall in love with - it can only be Italy. Away from the hustle and bustle around the Sella massif, you will find the Roascharte in the Puez-Geisler group in the western Dolomites. We choose the quiet, north-facing ascent, where there are still very good opportunities for powder snow, even quite late in the season. -

Videos of the Week #1 2020/21| The show must go on!
11/20/2020 • Sebastian MüllerWelcome to the new VdW season! Spectators are not the rule at our games anyway and the world probably needs moving images to dream and indulge more than ever. And hopefully our beloved heroes, and those who want to become heroes, will always be able to show us all the perfect white mountain world freely and without restrictions. -

PowderAlert 15 2019/20 | More Powder.
03/01/2020 • Lars OelmannOn the way back to a normal season? After the rather tough course of this winter, some regions, at least in the west, are now on the way to an average season. There is a base and it continues to snow. Ullr is also making a rendezvous in the south-east and there's still plenty of snow above 1800m. -

Videos of the Week #4 2019/20 | A little bit of everything
12/13/2019 • Sebastian MüllerAfter the first episodes somehow tried to tie themselves together thematically, you now get a colorful bouquet of flowers, a bit of everything. We have a large-scale production worth seeing on offer, plus fresh vlogs from Italy, France and India, and finally we round things off with an in-house explanatory video, but see for yourself! -

PowderAlert 4 2019/20 | The good, the bad, and the fluffy
11/18/2019 • Lars OelmannThe Good: The fourth alarm of the season and the fourth südstau. In a mirror image of last season, Ullr presses the weather lock button and one südstau after another rushes into the Alps. -

PowderAlert 3 2019/20 | The return of the südstau knights
11/16/2019 • Lars OelmannThe time has come to really step on the gas. The Oracle is live in alarm number 2 and it's really nice to be able to ride bottomless with face shots on day one of the season. The stone skis stay mothballed and the fat slats are happy - nice! -

PowderAlert 2 2019/20 | Now also with carpet pad skiing.
11/14/2019 • Lars OelmannAll your base are belong to us! The internet meme always makes sense in a skiing context and Ullr sends us dump number 2 to the south. Now you can finally swap your stone skis for the good slats and go skiing. By that, however, I still mean relaxed early-season turns and not shooting with the handbrake off. -

PowderAlert 1 2019/20 | First attempts at sliding in the south at last
11/11/2019 • Lars OelmannNew winter, new happiness. All aboard the Pow Train! Uh, or something like that. Nice to be back. Now that there's a minimal base from 2000-2200m, which even goes further down in places, you might even be able to ride the upcoming minidump carefully. Ullr is slowly warming up and will be sending some supplies until Wednesday evening to even out the settlement. In the east, however, there could already be quite a lot after this alarm.
