Interview | How do you become a park shaper?
12/10/2020 • Christiane Eggert
The Jatzpark on the Jakobshorn in Davos is not only popular with the local freestyle scene, but is also known beyond the regional and national borders for its short but sweet park laps. The Davos PG crew also likes to ride here, especially earlier season before the powder arrives. -

Gear of the Week | Line Mordecai
03/12/2016 • Lukas Zögernitz
The likeable ski makers from the USA are expanding their powder ski range with the Mordecai. With a center width of 114 mm and tip and tail rocker, many doors are open on the mountain. If you then jump over your own shadow and make your powder day a little more playful than usual, the Mordecai can turn a powder-turning freerider into a "neo backcountry freestyler". -

Nature Ride Backcountry Freestyle Contest
02/21/2013 • Tobias HuberWhile the contests in Tyrol are mainly focused on competing for Freeride World Tour points, things are a little quieter and more independent in Vorarlberg: In addition to the Eric Themel Invitational (Freeride Festival) and the Back On Track Freeride Contest, the Nature Ride has been offering an innovative contest format for years: on February 23, 2013, it's all about backcountry freestyle on the Portla Horn in Damüls. -

Revolver | Poorboys Productions
12/08/2010 • Aaron VogelPBP has been at the forefront of this young sport since the beginning of officially recorded freeskiing. In their new film, the aerial acrobats' tricks on skis don't come off like an assembly line, but – as you can guess from the title – as if shot from a revolver. -

Pretty Good | Rage Films
12/05/2009 • Olav SchmidHow do you recognize really cool, hip new school pros? Right, they play indoor soccer in RedBull jerseys with winter hats and headbands! At least that's how some of the riders in the current ski movie Pretty Good by Rage Film Production present themselves. However, this film shows more clearly than most others in this genre that the newschool head-nodder faction can not only present themselves in Brooklyn gangsta style, but also as completely "normal" stoked athletes of a young trend sport. -

Videograss | VG-Production
11/27/2009 • Olav SchmidNormally, I'm not really into baggy pants and railing slides. But this movie has broadened my horizons. For one thing, "you" no longer wear baggy pants but leggings or bell bottoms. What's more, Justin Mayer's first snowboard movie is an absolutely varied and original jibb flick. -

Lets go get lost | IsenSeven
11/27/2009 • Olav SchmidHas the development of freestyle finally come to a standstill? We've seen films like this quite a few times now. But I shouldn't get too personal here, because the guys from IsenSeven have put together a really finely produced snowboard film with sophisticated shots in their latest video. On their 10th birthday, the crew give their all to entertain us and "Lets go get lost" is certainly the highlight in the IsenSeven series. -

Turbo | Level 1 Productions
11/30/2008 • Olav SchmidOne of many! Another ski movie. Another beautiful artistic shot. Again clothes that are far too loose. Once again, full jumps and daring rail rides like we've seen many times before?
